"Mom, Dad. What are you doing!!!"
I then rub my eyes and open them again to see my parents eating their cereal with their hands.
"Hi honey, you're really tired huh?" my dad says sympathetically.
I nod my head and walk over to the refrigerator and pull out a box of waffles. I take two out and put them in the toaster.
"Hello, wonderful family," Joel sing-songs as he's walking down the stairs.
"Someone had a good night's sleep yesterday," my dad says turning the page of the newspaper.
"Yeah, I bet he did," I say grinning at him. I look down at my watch and say "Oh, the bus is going to be here in a few minutes. We better get going."
I grab two apples for me and Joel and walk out of the front door. As I sit outside on the porch swing, I look at the street. Then Joel comes from inside the house and starts to look at me.
"Where are you really going?" Joel asks.
"What?"
"The bus is going to be here in a hour and you always know what time it is."
"Fine, I'm going to Johnathan's house so we can hang out before school and you still owe me from Kennedy's house."
"Okay,fine I'll cover for you but, I don't owe you any more 'kay?"
"Whatever."
I walk out from under the porch and onto the sidewalk. I turn left and walk on the crosswalk. I keep walking straight and six houses down I'm standing in front of his house. I take a deep breath before I knock on the door. Johnathan's mom comes into view and says:
"Hello Jennivieve, are you coming over to work on your science project with Johnny?"
"Uhh... yes Ms. Meyers."
Johnathan's head soons comes up behind his mom's.
"Umm..... Mom, I'll just show her around the house and then we'll go to my room 'kay?"
"Yeah, sure. You kids go have fun."
Johnathan escorts me to the kitchen
first.
"This kitchen is very old and belongs to the Meyers family made up of four residents, me, my mom, dad, and my four-year old sister Klarissa."
Then, I hear a growl and feel something jump on me.
I know this was one of my longer parts. I don't think I will have more that are this long ,but we will have to wait and see.
