When it's 7:30, we start walking toward school. It's Friday so the teachers usually let us slide when we're tardy.

"Are you okay?" Johnathan asks.

"Yeah, just nervous."

"For what?"

"Just school, we're taking a big test today," I lie. I somehow don't burst into tears at the thought of him not coning back for two weeks after today.

"Oh, don't worry. You'll be fine you always are."

I somehow get the feeling he's not talking about the "test". We walk the rest of the way to school without saying anything. I basically cling to his hand when we get to school, never wanting to let him go. When the bell rings I loosen my grip on his hand and kiss him on his cheek. He pulls away slightly and I pull him back and whisper in his ear:

"I love you, John."

To be honest, I think this book is very interesting.
