We don't have first period together so, I usually walk to class alone because his class is in the other building. The students pile in from everywhere and head toward the school building. By the time I get in the building, the hallway is nearly empty. After I get my books from my locker, I start heading toward English, my first period. Luckily I slide in my seat a few seconds before the bell. Behind me, sits my best friend, Clara. In front of me usually sits Natalie my other friend, but she isn't here today. But she Never misses a day from school. Puzzled, I look to the front of the room. Our teacher, Ms. Brown sits behind her desk with her eyes on the troublemakers, while they are laughing.

"Jackson, is their something you wish to tell the class, I'm sure the class will find it interesting," Ms. Brown says.

Jackson, the class clown, just smiles and shakes his head.

"Good, well then, we'll leave off from before, partner up the assignment will be due on Tuesday."

The students shuffle around the room heading toward their partners. Luckily, I'm paired up with Clara so, I just turn around in my chair. We both take out notebooks and pencils we bought together before school started. I then see Clara biting her nails, which means she's nervous or sonething's horribly wrong.
