[Icehowl's POV]

I watched as my little brother padded over to me with Darkfeather by his side. It was more like Darkfeather walking over to me with Witheredsoul trailing behind him, but I cared about my brother more.

"Icehowl, we would like you to lead a hunting patrol that will also check the border with no clan. You may pick the cats you have in your patrol but hurry up." Darkfeather said in a low growl. My eyes went over to Witheredsoul to see if he had anything to say, but his green eyes would not meet mine.

Traitor. He deserves not to even look at me. He has clawed our backs. He's using us as kittypet so and loners. He doesn't even care about us anymore. I thought to myself. I wish I could say it, but I would be punished if I did.

"I will get onto that. Who else is leading patrols so I know not to pick them?" I asked them. I mainly wanted more time for my brother to be stuck near me. I already knew I wanted to pick Deerscar unless she was leading a patrol. We had to find out how to get Witheredsoul back to our side.

"Cheetahpelt and Blacklight. Now go and get your warriors." Darkfeather hissed before padding away with my brother quickly following after him.

I had an idea of who I wanted on my patrol. The Dark Forest warriors let us patrol on our own, so I wanted some cats I could trust to do the right thing. My sister was the first in my mind and then Leopardtail came into my mind to pick. He had lost his brother to the Dark Forest's killings. He would want them to be gone and to get someone on the inside. My last pick would be Roseeyes. She lost her mother to the Dark Forest's killings as well. She would have some hatred toward them and I could use that to our advantage.

After I figured out my plan, I hurried to go and find the two shecats and the one tom. Deerscar was chatting to Volenose but she quickly excused herself when she saw me coming over to her.

"Yes? What do you need?" She asked me softly but in a hushed voice. She knew we had to do something and could see I had a plan.

"Hunting patrol. You're on it along with Roseeyes and Leopardtail. I still need to go and get them." I told her. She nodded and said a quick goodbye to Volenose before following me to find the other two.

It didn't take long to find them and my small little patrol was heading out to the forest. I had to make sure we were a good distance away from the camp before I stopped to talk to them. I might as well wait until we were near the border. That would also give me time to figure out how to word this all. It would be fun.
