The last thought that went through Will's head before he collapsed was I do dare.

<Time Skip into the Future>

"Will," exclaimed a voice. "Thank the gods you're finally awake. "Chiron put Austin in charge of the infirmary. You can imagine how disastrous that turned out."

"What happened to me," Will asked groggily, rubbing his eyes to the blurry image of neon hair. A purple-haired girl with a pixie-cut was peering into
his eyes.

"Kayla. Give him some space," chided Malcolm, who was standing near his infirmary bed with his half-sister Annabeth. "You were out for nearly forty-four hours. Got one Hades of a concussion," explained the son of Athena in a clear, informative voice.

Right then a dangerous thought crossed Will's mind. If I was out for almost two days, then that means Nico could be anywhere...

Will sat up. "Have any of you seen Nico?"

Annabeth narrowed her eyes. "Yeah,"
she responded hesitantly. "He was in his cabin last I saw him. What exactly went on between you two in the woods anyway? If Malcolm hadn't found you..."

"Nothing happen--"

Annabeth raised an eyebrow imploringly. "No offence, but you're not exactly the best of liars, Will. And from what my sources tell me, you may or may not have made Nico hate you forever. And oh, he probably doesn't realise you like him."

And with that she left the room, never to be seen again.

And with that, she left, undoubtedly to find her boyfriend.

After a very awkward silence in the room, Malcolm glanced at his watch. "Oh gods. I'm late for archery. I wish I could stay, but I've skipped archery too many times. Kayla's getting frustrated with me." He glared at the female demigod. "Instructor Kayla says that if I don't come for this class, she'll shoot arrows through all the books and papers of the Athena cabin," the son of Athena said in mocking tone.

Kayla rolled her eyes. Before leaving, she patted her half brother's shoulder. "Just keep being your charming self. I'm 27% sure you'll figure it out somehow."

"Well that's encouraging, Kayla," responded Malcolm.

"Kayla," called Malcolm from the door to the infirmary. "Are you coming or not? We can't start the class without the instructor."

.•x•.

Will couldn't stop thinking about Nico all throughout the day. The way he would duck his head down every time he blushed, and his blushes, making his pale olive skin seem healthy all of a sudden. And you're doing it again, Solace, Will thought bitterly. Looking at him like he's one of your patients. But he was wasn't he? But look where he is now. Is really in a better of a condition now then he was before?

These controversial thoughts went through Will's mind for 15 minutes or so before he drifted into into unconsciousness.

i haven't done any research on concussions, so is there anything in here that i said that wouldn't fall under the after effects of a concussion?
