Basic Info You, The Reader, Should Know About

You are about to read a story about two beings, one who's a merman and one who is a mortal. Something will happen between the two of them, altering their life for the better or worse.

The merman's name is Jack W. McLouglin. He is royalty, with his parents who were the King and Queen. Jack is an only child and usually victim to verbal abuse and physical abuse from his family. No one believes him when he tries to tell others about the ongoing abuse, expect his friends. He is disliked by his parents since he isn't your picture perfect prince. His parents don't know, but Jack has been studying magic for many years.

     Jack is an adventurous and kind mer-folk who has a bubbly personality and is truthful with those he trusts. He is always seen with Sam, a small electric eel. Besides Sam and a select group of friends, Jack likes to remain alone.

Appearance wise, Jack has neon green hair and brown hair on the sides of his head. His teeth are sharp, due to being a predator. He has glimmering ocean blue eyes, which can see well in the dark. They are perfect 20/20, which helps him hunt for prey. Jack also has gills on his ears. His tail consists of cold colors, starting at a bright green to a greenish-blue to the end of his V-Shaped tail.

The merfolk society is very advanced and modern, they have almost everything our world has. Things like phones, music, wifi/data, televisions, ect era. They have found a way to keep items dry or water-resistant, such as books. Human relics, however, are very rare, for they are usually destroyed insight. Jack has managed to keep his human-findings hidden from others.

The mortal's name is Mark E. Fischbach. His dad passed away during high school and his stepmother, Dee, doesn't interact or talk to him at all. Because of this, Mark has trust issues. He attends college in Ireland and originates from America. He lives alone in his small dorm. He is studying engineering, although he always wanted to do something more than that. Mark has a major fear of the ocean, yet lives near the coast.

     Mark has dark black fluffy hair. The middle part of his head is usually seen parted to the left or right. He has chocolate colored eyes and tanned skin. Mark is antisocial, but very selfless. He is a sweetheart and very kind. His favorite food is chicken and dumplings.

The two shall meet under the oddest circumstances, and the result will be even odder. What will happen to Jack and Mark? Read to find out!

(A/N I don't plan on doing too many of these, mostly because I know they'll get skipped over and I just feel like it's kind of pointless to write them. As you can probably tell, this is my first fanfic. Ever. I never attempted writing any before, even though I've been reading fanfics for the past 2 years. If I sometimes get off topic or write something weird, you'll know why.
If you're wondering why I'm writing this fanfic, I can answer that pretty well. I feel like there are not many merman Septiplier fanfics out there. I wish there were! Most of the "lengthy" ones are poorly written (in my opinion). I want to change that with my fanfic. I plan on making about 23-36 chapters. If for some reason I stop becoming interested in this ship, I will probably just let this go. I apologize in advance if that happens. I will try to keep writing this as long as I can though!
I'll usually make my chapters around 1000 < words. (This one doesn't count) Yay? And I'll always put the # of words at the end. That's enough of this authors note, thanks for reading this!)
