There was a sudden knock at her door and Ellen jumped out of her skin. She skipped over to the door, thinking it would be Emma, and swung the door open. She was immediately met by a soft kiss on the lips, and two strong hands grip her waist. Once their lips pulled apart, Ellen realised that Kian was standing there in the doorway, a goofy grin on his face.

“I’m sorry, no more kissing, I just had to, and you are my new found temptation”

“You know what to do then” Thinking that she meant kiss him again; he leant in for a kiss, only to be pushed aside.

“Don’t you want this?” Kian looked confused.

“You have no idea how much I want this, but it is too soon, I’m not thinking straight, and you don’t actually want me, you will get bored with me as a temptation, and I don’t want my heart broken when you move on”

“How do you know that I don’t want you?”

“Because if you did, you would have already told me by now” Ellen moved away from him and Kian stood even more confused in the doorway, edging closer slightly.

“If I am going to fast, I will slow down, and I will tell you right now how much you mean to me”

“But you will only tell me how much you care because I want you to, and it’s a bit late to slow down.”

“What song is it? It has slipped my mind but it says ‘true lovers never take it slowly, when they’ve found the one and only’, you can see that the lyrics are true”

“The song is How Does It Feel”

“Only a true fan would know that” He was trying to win her over, but Ellen wasn’t buying it.

“Kian, you have only just broken up with your wife, you have a little boy who needs you, and I am not about the ruin his life by stealing you away from him”

“Why don’t you come and meet him?”

“Will you leave now if I say yes?”

“Yes I will, I promise”

“Okay, I will meet Koa, but you are not allowed to kiss me, cuddle me, or act as if you like me, deal?”

“You have a deal” he seemed reluctant to say yes, but he could see that this was a battle that he wasn’t going to win. He said goodbye and walked back the way he came. Ellen watched from her window as she saw his car leave the car park, making sure that he didn’t come back. Satisfied, she turned back around and started to cry. Tears fell from her eyes and she phoned Emma, telling her about the diner, but not about Kian coming on to her.

Ellen felt so stupid, anyone would jump at the chance to be with someone famous, especially someone as good looking as Kian Egan, but she turned him down, she took it too far. All she could think about was that kiss, both of them. Whilst on the phone, she realised that it was only a couple of weeks until Emma’s wedding. The church had a cancellation, and as Emma knew the vicar very well, and there wasn’t a waiting list, Emma jumped at the chance to have her wedding that early. She hadn’t consulted Olly before hand, but he seemed happier that she was which was a relief. Ellen had a fitting the next day for her dress, which she was dreading seeing as she hated wearing dresses, but she thought about how happy Emma would be, and she put on her brave face.

The night went by quickly, and before she knew it, Ellen’s alarm was going off and she arose from her slumber. She had a shower and met Emma at the dress shop at 10am. Emma was waiting in the entrance of the shop, a smile growing on her face. No sooner had Ellen walked through the door when her phone started to ring. She rolled her eyes and answered it, Kian’s name appearing on the screen.
