Some years later…

It was their anniversary, and Ellen bounced out of bed for another beautiful day. They had been married for ten years, and the love was definitely still there. She skipped about and made breakfast and took it up to Kian, who had only just woken up.

“Hi honey”

“Happy anniversary baby” Kian said sleepily. Ellen pulled out a card and handed it to Kian. He opened it, smiled at the comment inside and kissed Ellen passionately. Koa came in and immediately turned to go back out again when Kian said:

“where do you think you are going mate?”

“Away from you two kissing, it’s gross”

“Ahh, you love it really” Kian joked.

“Whatever, anyway, happy anniversary!”  Hannah came in after Koa and sat on her parent’s bed.

“Happy anniversary mum, dad”

“Thanks sweetie” Ellen said.

Later that day Kian pulled Ellen into the car, and Koa and Hannah got in as well. They drove down into the town, and Ellen became confused.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see, won’t she guys?”

“Yeah!” Koa and Hannah said in unison from the back seat.

“So you guys are in on it too are you?” The question was rhetorical, so they didn’t answer. They drove for a few more minutes before turning round a corner and into a car park Ellen had never seen before.

“Right, out we get” Kian said and everyone stumbled out of the car. Kian took Ellen’s hand and led her across the road, Koa and Hannah either side of them.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see”

Kian went behind Ellen and covered her eyes. She gasped and then allowed herself to be moved by her trustworthy husband. She felt herself go through a door and she stood still.

“Three, two, one, surprise!” He moved his hands and Ellen was in a prefect replica of the diner she owned all those years ago. Standing in front of her was Emma and Olly, with little Ellen standing in front of them on her phone. Olly took the phone and put it in his pocket, and Ellen just looked at him. The original Ellen laughed and hugged each of them in turn. Kian had recreated her diner for their anniversary, and he informed Ellen that it would be just how it was; he even hired her previous staff form England. Ellen was crying, she was so happy.

“So what do you think” Ellen grabbed Kian in a hug and snogged his face, not breathing for air.

“That is what it think, I love it, and I love you so much”

“I love you too” They remained in the diner and Ellen’s life was finally completely complete.
