Harry's P.O.V.

I know I may come off as the type of guy sometimes, who's got it all pulled together. I mean, I suppose that's a good thing, to come off as cool and collected. It might even be a part of my elusive charm that I have yet to find proof of existing.

We've all got our labels, I know all too well that it's simply a part of the media and being a celebrity. Hell, it's a part of being a human being. We all draw conclusions, make assumptions, and judge people without noticing we do it.

What annoys me though, is that people in general; our fans, the paparazzi, the media, they think they've got us all down… and maybe in a broad sense, they do. But setting aside the obvious,  we're far more than what they say we are, everyone is more than what they seem to be in the end. So we opt for letting everyone believe we are only the broad sense of who we actually are. It’s easier, I guess.

I'm the flirt… and I guess in truth I am. It would be a lie if I said that Harry Styles didn't flirt with girls. Because I did... a lot. But I put effort behind it —far more effort than anyone else cares to notice or even consider me doing. That includes being cheeky, charming and a little persuasive, and they've got that down. What they don’t know, is that it doesn’t come naturally to me. I have to work towards the charming chat-up lines, I need to practice my camera-ready smile —because if I didn’t, I’d probably never get any girls due to my shyness and rather abrasive awkwardness. Personally, I know I do a lot more with my life than flirt as well, but I don't suppose being known as the fabulous pancake maker is as suiting a label as the flirt.

Liam Payne. Well, he's the serious one. Why? Because he's more responsible and a little less immature than the rest of us. Because he cares about the whole lot of us and doesn't want to see us get in trouble. Because he won't make an ass of himself in front of the paparazzi or mess around during an interview. Because he's straight forward and smart. Constantly being scrutinized for sounding intelligent and having a head in between his shoulders. What does he get from all this? He gets called a stick in the mud or Daddy Direction. Even though he's just being there for us. But the paparazzi doesn’t know the fact that Liam acts ridiculous when we’re on our own, out of the limelight. They have no clue that he’s just as fun-loving and emotional as the rest of us. They only see the face he puts on.

Zayn is complicated, true, but he is known more so as mysterious or vain. Which isn't entirely false, but is in no way completely true either. Zayn is mysterious simply because he's shy and quiet, because he's a little self conscious for who knows what reason, and has trouble opening up to people. We all do sometimes. But just because he worries over his appearance a little more than others —because his lack of confidence —he must be vain. After getting to know him, these categories seem too broad and circumstantial to define Zayn Malik.

Then there’s our little irish man, our leprechaun, Niall, he's the sweet adorable one. Even though truly I am the baby of the group age wise, Niall is the little Nialler we love. With his thick accent, love of food and inability to hurt a fly, he’s absolutely innocent in the eyes of the world. Even though people don’t know that he curses like a sailor and makes dirty jokes to no end, they still believe Niall Horan is too cute for his own good.
