"In the land of gods and monsters,
I was an angel
Living in the garden of evil
Screwed up, scared, doing anything that I needed"

-Lana Del Rey, Gods & Monsters

Jerome's hands were secured behind his back by handcuffs that were on the verge of being too tight. Gordon roughly dragged him along towards the front of the precinct were several burly men in stereotypical white uniforms stood in wait.

Violet stood up abruptly from her place on the bench, "Jerome?"

The ginger turned his head towards her. Several stray strands of hair hung out of place over his forehead. The chuckling under his breathe could still be heard from under his breath, his eyes were ablaze with excitement.

"Hiya, gorgeous. I seem to have gotten myself all caught up with the cops here," Jerome grinned ear to ear at her, struggling against the Detective's grip so he could fully turn towards her.

"Shut up," Detective Gordon growled as he continued to drag Jerome towards the awaiting men. The Detective glanced at Violet while the two passed, an unreadable expression passing through his tired eyes.

Although Jerome didn't protest much to the sudden force, he continued to talk to Violet. His teeth clenched from the pressure of the cuffs on his wrists, but that didn't stop his laughs.

The entire precinct watched the insane boy be escorted through the building in fear and in awe.

"Don't worry, I'll see you soon though! We're going to have so much fun!" He called out to the bewildered girl who stood across the precinct from him.

Gordon shoved Jerome into the hands of the men in white, exchanging unheard words quickly. They nodded, nudged each other in the ribs jokingly before dragging the cackling redhead out of the building.

Violet watched Gordon shake his head at the scene, placing a hand on his hip and the other on his head in thought.

Would they talk to her now to explain what happened- to explain that her new friend is a psychopath who murdered his mother?

What's he thinking, the forgotten voice of Eloise whispered in Violet's ear. The blonde to let out a gasp of surprise. She spun around, glancing around the precinct wildly to spot the devilish girl. Yet there was no sign of her.

Get out.

"Violet," Gordon shouted, capturing the girl's attention before she could pick her coat up off the ground and leave. "Stay there. You need to be questioned."

As soon as the Detective reached her, a uniformed officer followed close behind.

"What else do you need to know? I told you everything I know," Violet asked, fully acknowledging that she was walking on thin ice. Jerome could have told them anything while he was in that room.
