you cut and bleed
bringing the feeling that’s physical
and somewhat in control
you pull in a waft
just thinking it might be a raft
till you can get to the utopia
that you don’t believe in
you cling breathing for his affection
because you never had the leg of a father
and now he acts like he hates you
claims to know your pains
and calls them weak while criticizing
your every week
and now you don’t look up to him
you don’t want to even look at him
so when
this
that
buy
shows his broken hide
you can’t hide your need
