Chapter 7: Rehearsals and Dates

Shit. They noticed. Is it really that obvious that I've been crying? I really need to get crying lessons.

"No, I haven't been crying. Why you ask?" Everyone just continues to stare at me. I walk over to my seat and sit down. And of course, everyone is still staring at me.

When I'm done, I get up and go back upstairs and continue to mourn over my loss in peace. That is, until someone had to barge into my room. Oh, it's Chloe.

"Ross?" I look up at her perfect face which just makes me wanna start crying all over again.

"Yes?" She sits down on the bed and starts staring at me. I raise my eyebrow at her.

"Do you need something?," I ask. She puts her head down on my lap.

"Why were you crying?" I sigh quietly.

"I wasn't crying. And don't say I was because I wasn't."

"Alright alright. But I have something to tell you." I start rubbing my hands through her hair, gesturing her to move on.

"Eric and I are dating." My hand stops....and so does my heart.

When Ross stops his hand, I get up to look at him. He's staring at me with an unreadable expression. Suddenly, he starts laughing.

"Why are you laughing?," I ask with a confused expression.

"You really got me there Chloe. I actually thought you were dating him for a second." He wipes a tear from his face.

"But I'm serious. I am seriously dating Eric. We went to Starbucks after I went home today and he asked me on the beach." Ross stops laughing and an emotion flashes in his eye that I just can't quite place.

"Well..I'm happy for you." He gives me a quick kiss on the cheek before getting up.

"I have to get ready. Austin & Ally rehearsals." I nod and walk out of the room. I walk downstairs to see Stormie, Mark, Dylan and Mom talking about wedding preparations. I sit down next to Dylan and tune into the conversation.

She's dating Eric. She's dating that stupid man-whore Eric. How do I tell her that he's a low life cheater? She will never believe me. She would just get mad and continue going out with him.

I run a hand through my hair while speed driving over to the Austin & Ally set. I run inside and into my dressing room to see that my clothes for the scenes that we are doing today are ready.

I change into the one that we're doing first and go into Calum's dressing room.

"Hey." I plop down on the couch and watch him fix his hair.

"Dangg, look at you. It would a miracle if they could get your face looking normal with that make-up!" I roll my eyes and throw a pillow at him.

"Wow man, so helpful. I feel so much better already."

"Wanna tell me what happened?" I quickly tell him the whole story from start to finish. When I'm done, he slaps me on the back.

"You are into a girl? Never thought that day would come..." I glare at him and he just laughs.

"ROSS AND CALUM TO SET. ROSS AND CALUM TO SET!" We walk out of the dressing room and to the set.

When we finish rehearsing, I try calling Chloe so many times but she doesn't answer. I drive home and decide to take a quick nap.

I wake up to a lot of noise from downstairs. I get up from the bed, slip on a shirt and go downstairs to see Mom in the kitchen banging pots and pans and Dad setting up balloons around the house. I look questionably at them before someone finally decides to tell me what's going on.

"Sarah wanted to have her bridal shower at our house. We couldn't say no. So we're preparing for it," Mom tells m e.

"Alright. I'm going over to their house." I grab my keys and walk out to my car. I drive over to Chloe's house and park the car. When I ring the doorbell, Sarah answers the door.

"Oh. Hi Ross. Come inside." I walk in the house and follow Sarah into the kitchen.

"Is Chloe here?, I ask her.

" No. When she left your house, she told us she was going out with Eric." I sigh and lay my head down on the counter. I really need to tell Chloe about Eric. I don't want her heart to get broken by some stupid low life, son of a bitch.

"You can still stay here if you want. I won't mind." I shake my head.

"No, it's okay. I'll have to go back home and help Mom and Dad with the preparations. But thanks." I wave goodbye and walk out the door.
