"Mom I'm here!"

"We're in the living room!" I walk over and see Dylan and my Mom sitting on the couch changing Rose.

"Alright, she's all changed. You can take her now," Mom says while handing Rose over to me. I decided that I have to take Rose back as much as I don't want to be reminded of Ross.

And, I'm moving.

I have my ticket booked for New York 3 days from now. I am a little scared with Rose but I'm willing to take the chance.

5 years later

"Rose! Come on!"

"Coming Mommy!" Rose runs down the stairs in a sleeveless purple shirt and denim shorts.

"Let's go," I smile down at her and she gives me a hug.

"Ross! Lunch is ready!" I sigh and walk downstairs.

"Uncle Ross?" I turn my head and see Sasha, Rydel's daughter. She turned 6 just 2 days ago. She's cute, but sometimes I wonder how my daughter, Rose, looks like. She should be turning 7 in 2 months and I really want to see her.

"Yes Sash?"

"Why do you look so sad?" Rydel walks out of her and Ellington's room.

"Sasha, leave Uncle Ross alone," Rydel scolds her.

"But Mommy, Uncle Ross is always so sad! I want to know why!," she whines.

"Sasha," she warns. Sasha crosses her arms and walks away.

"Let's go eat, Ross," Rydel whispers. I follow her downstairs and sit in my usual spot.

"Um, I want to ask you guys something," my mom says nervously while looking at me.

"Shoot," Ratliff says.

"Did any of you know that Chloe moved to New York 5 years ago?" I choke on my water.

"Chloe moved to New York 5 years ago?!," I ask furiously.

"Ross, calm down," Rydel starts rubbing my back.

I look over at Rydel and she has a guilty look.

"You knew?," I ask her. She looks away from me. I clench my fists.

"You knew and you didn't fucking tell me?! What kind of a sister are you?" A hurt look flashes across her face but I'm too pissed to care.

"At least I didn't cheat on her! At least I wasn't the damn cause of her moving away!," she screams back.

"Guys, calm down," Ellington jumps up.

I throw my cup down and go back upstairs.

"Ross."

"Ross."

"Go away," I muffle into my pillow.

I hear my door open and I groan.

"Leave me alone Riker."

"Mom told me what happened. Do you want to talk about it?"

"Just leave me alone."

"You know Ross, even though I don't live in this house anymore doesn't mean I don't care for you. I'm still your big brother and nothing can change that." My heart clenches.
