Chapter 18: Evan and Eric

"E-Evan is your brother? Y-You have a brother?," I ask, stammering.

"Evan is my older brother. After my dad died, he just couldn't take it. So, he found a girl and they started dating. Soon after, he proposed and they got married. When he called that day, I was happy because he never called in a long time. It was always me that was calling first so I got tired of it. 1 week after we fought, he said he wanted to meet me. I told him all about you and he saw Rose. He wanted to meet you. I told him about what happened and then he told me that I have to tell you. I've been waiting for you to talk to me since then." I stand there shocked.

"I'm really really sorry for jumping to conclusions. I should have listened to you."

"Damn right you should've." I slowly walk over to her and crash my lips against hers. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me.

We pull apart and I lay my forehead against hers.

"I love you Chlobear."

"I love you too."

I lean in again and give her a quick kiss and then pull her in for a hug.

"I feel really stupid. I should've listened to your explanation instead of telling you that I hated you. Gosh Chloe, you have no idea how much I love you. I can't believe that I just walked out on you and Rose. I should've been here for you guys. I'm really sorry, love."

"Ross, Evan wants to meet you." I widen my eyes.

"I can't Chloe. What if he hates me?," I ask worried.

"Evan doesn't hate you. Just meet him please?," she gives me her puppy dog face.

"You are so lucky that I love you so much," I say teasingly.

"Shut up. Now come, we need to get ready."

I go into our closet and take out a green, black and white dress. I pair it with lace booties and black and silver earrings. I leave my hair down but add a little lip gloss and mascara to finish the look.

"Come on sexy." I turn around and playfully glare at him.

"Here is absolutely joint wrong with telling the truth," he winks. I roll my eyes and pick up Rose from the bed.

"Shall we leave now?" He nods and I follow him out of the room.

We drive to the restaurant that were meeting Evan at and park the car.

"Chlobear, I'm really scared."

"Ross, it's alright. Just think about, um. Like you're meeting your brother after a really really long time?," I suggest. He gives me a small smile and nods.

We walk inside the restaurant and then I spot him sitting in our corner table.

He catches my eye and gives me a sad smile. I take Ross's hand in mine and make him follow him to the table. We sit down across from him.

"So, who's this Champ?" I almost smile at the nickname but stop myself.

"This is Ross and our baby Rose," I answer tryung to act cold.

"Chloe, I said I was sorry. I even apologized to Mom and she forgives me! What do you want me to do?," he asks frustratedly.
