Alone. Sounds depressing right? Well thats how i am everyday.

It's just me and my mom living in this big yet lonely house. She is a doctor so she is gone 24/7. Leaving me alone.

I only have my best friend, Shawn Mendes left. But recently he has been dating this girl named Julie (Sorry if that's your name). Shes the most popular girl in school because shes rich and beautiful. And with Shawn being the most talented yet handsome boy in school, they were the power couple. Me, its just a matter of time before Shawn leaves me for popularity and I will be completely alone.

Your probably asking, how did you and Shawn become friends then. We met in Kinder and since then we've been two peas in a pod. But now that he glowed up from his awkward stage in middle school, he has girls drooling over him.

Even though my mom has a lot of money, it can't buy happiness.

I was currently driving to school listening to "Say You Wont Let Go." By James Arthur. Of course while I was looking for a parking spot I had spotted Shawn and Julie on top of Shawn's black jeep making out.

I rolled my eyes and made sure to find a parking spot far way from them. Walking into the halls of Pine Ridge Secondary School was normal for me at first because I had Shawn with to talk, but now it's embarrassing knowing that your walking into a school filled with people who have their own cliques and your all alone.

I found my locker and rushed over to it pulling out my books for my first class of the day. I heard footsteps walking towards me and turned around to be greeted by Shawn.

"Oh Hi Shawn." I tucked my hair behind my ear and smiled at him.

"Hey Y/N, how is my favorite girl doing?" He asked hugging me with one arm. I fiddled with the matching friendship bracelet that Shawn had given me in 6th grade.

"I thought Julie would be your favorite girl since you two are dating." I shut my locker and continued to walk down the hall.

"Even though I am dating her doesn't mean her and I's relationship won't stand a chance between our friendship." He explained while he catching up to me.

"Oh okay, so are we still having movie night at my place tonight?" I asked him. We do movie night every Wednesday night to celebrate that it's the middle of the week.

He paused for a second looking unsure. "Uh, yeah I would never miss our movie nights." I nodded and smiled at him before the bell rang, leaving us to go to our ways.

(That Evening)

Shawn and I were currently on my couch watching Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix while my mom was working on her night shift. But the whole time Shawn's eyes were glued onto his phone and not to the T.V. Harry Potter was his favorite?! And I was on one far side of the couch while Shawn was on the other side. Usually we are close to watching a movie.

I was obviously upset that Shawn had paid no attention to our movie night. Ever since he has been dating Julie we have been becoming more distant and it scares me knowing that he is the only one that I have left.

"Hey look Y/N," He caught my attention by standing up, "I have to go, my mom wants me to study for Mr. Ginowski's test.

"Okay," I began walking him towards the door, "Have a good night Shawn." He didn't even say good bye. He just walked to his Black Jeep and drove way quickly like he was in a rush to get to his house.
