My black suede heels clicked throughout the hallway as I walked along nodding at fellow nurses and doctors as they hurridly fetched their patients.
My feet came to an abrupt stop once I came to face the metal door with the keypad plastered next to it.
Pressing my ID card against the scanner, the buzzer went off, unlocking the door for me.
Shawn Mendes
I looked at the small plaque just above the keypad.
Smiling, I pushed open the door to reveal the brunette sitting on the edge of his bed, staring at the wall in front of him.
The lamp on his desk was the only light that shone throughout his room, the atmosphere somewhat dark yet comforting. I gulped as I stared at half of his illuminated face from the light. Every time I see him, I still could not get over the beauty this boy possessed. Shaking my head lightly, I knocked out those thoughts from my head. Professional work environment Y/N.
Closing the door behind me, I turned the chair around that was tucked into his desk so I could face him and took a seat.
"Hi, Shawn." I said warmly. Placing my clipboard onto my knees I folded my hands on top of the surface of it.
We sat in silence for about a minute before his gentle voice spoke up. "Did you miss me?" His eyes were still fixed onto the wall. His adam's apple moved up and down as he swallowed right after.
Looking down at my folded hands I took a deep breath in.
"Yes." I looked up and my eyes met with those intense hazel ones. Shawn had shifted so he sat in front of me.
His eyes trailed up and down my body. Actually no, they trailed all along my body, not missing an inch of it. Taking my bottom lip into my teeth, I tried to prevent myself from laughing nervously. I took this time to scan him. He wore a black shirt and black Adidas sweats. I mentally laughed at myself. Of course this boy got his way. He probably manipulated the nurse to let him wear his clothing instead of the gray sweatshirt and saggy pants every patient had to wear. My eyes soon wandered away from him as i tried to not focus on the intense gaze he was emitting on me.
He took his time to eye me as if I was his next meal.
"You look very pretty today." He complimented.
I smiled, trying to make him feel as comfortable as possible. "Thank you Shawn," I looked down at my clipboard, reminding me why I was even here. I cleared my throat and fixed my posture. "So how you've been Shawn?"
He chuckled, shaking his head at me. "You know I'm never gonna answer those stupid questions." He spat.
Rolling my eyes secretly I sat up, placing the clipboard onto the desk. "Well, what do you want to talk about then?" I remembered what my mother always told me as she too were an occupational therapist. Always make sure the patient is comfortable, respect them so they can trust you.
"How are you doing?" He asked genuinely.
"So now you're the one interrogating?" Laughing, I lowered my eyes at him jokingly as his facial expressions soften. Progress.
"It's always been like that Y/N, you should know that by now." He suddenly stood up, his eyes never leaving mine.
His tall muscular frame towered over me. I suddenly felt as if I had shrunk into a dwarf. Something about him made me somewhat scared but I felt comfortable? It was a weird combination especially since I was dealing with the most difficult patient there was here in the psychiatric hospital.
