Christmas

It's summer but Christmas always gets anyone in a cheery mood. This is a request for Hannah :)

I don't know shawn's cousin's names so I made the names up?

okay okay onto the story, hopefully, you guys enjoy it since this is my first request :)))

"No, get over here." Shawn playfully demanded over the phone.

I walked around my bedroom, phone against my ear and my fuzzy pajamas still on.

"Shawn, it's Christmas Eve, you should spend it with just your family." I collapsed onto my bed, twirling my hair into my fingers.

"First of all, my family loves you. Second off, Christmas is about spending quality time with your loved ones and last time I check I love you a lot." Breaking out a light laugh he paused, out of breath. "And lastly we haven't hung out in a long time."

"I saw you yesterday."

"And?" He sassed.

Sighing and finally giving in to my sassy best friend, I ended the call and began the process of getting ready.

2 hours later, I found myself at the front door of the Mendes household, Karen greeting me with open arms.

"Y/N I haven't seen you in a while." She smiled almost jumping up and down. You got to love Karen. She looked down at the bags of presents I held. I originally was going to drop them off after Christmas because it felt as if I was intruding on their family celebration.

"Honey, you did not have to get us anything! Are you crazy?" Karen laughed while leading me into the living room.

I carefully dropped the bags by the Christmas tree and set my coat by the couch.

"Hi Auntie Carol." I greeted Shawn's aunt who I have met before.

"Just a few of Shawn and Aaliyah cousins are over so your good." Manny joked. "The crazy relatives are coming over tomorrow so no pestering questions about you and Shawn."

We all laughed before Karen told me to go upstairs where all the kids were hanging out.

I opened Shawn's bedroom door and was greeted by the sight of 4 teenagers laughing and playing video games on the Wii Shawn had in his room.

"Y/N!" Tati and Gia, Shawn's cousins greeted me. They jumped from the bed to hug me. Tati was a year older than me and Shawn and Gia was around Aaliyah's age.

Aaliyah and Shawn were playing smash, sitting on the floor and leaning against the bed. The second Tati and Gia chanted my name Shawn immediately turned around and jumped from his position, disregarding the whole match.

"Hey it took you long enough!" He whined, pulling me away from the two girls and embracing me into his arms.

Aaliyah soon got up and stole me away from Shawn's embrace. 

"Haha, she's mine Shawn." Aaliyah taunted Shawn, her arm still around me from our hug.

"Please, she loves all of this." Shawn gestured to his body with the most ridiculous face.

My jaw dropped and everyone laughed except for Shawn.

"You wish she did." Tati joked crossing her arms and shaking her head at Shawn. 

"You guys suck!" Shawn replied. Seconds after Brian walked into the room. 

"What did I miss?" He asked. "Oh Y/N when did you get here?"
