Trace walked to the Alchemist Guild with a smile on his face and a spring in his steps. Earlier today, he had met the girl that made his heart sing, Alice Angelsong. Though it almost ended in a misunderstanding, he was glad that Alice didn't see him less as a man.
The Alchemist Guild was quite crowded today, for the test result is announced today, Whether it is for new Alchemists, or those who wanted to increase their standing in the guild. Trace stood with countless men and women, anxiously looking at the board. On the contrary, Trace is looking at the board with a particularly relaxed expression on his face. It didn't take long for him to find his name on it.
Trace's smile grew wider as he left the hall, feeling a lot more energized than before. "Oh right, I have to buy a few summoning papers." After he was finally out of the crowd, Trace looked around to find a Summoner's goods vendor. He quickly find a vendor with a relatively wide choice of items, and approached his stall.
"Good morning young master! How can I help you today?" The vendor greeted Trace politely with a genuine smile. His curly moustache moved in tandem with his mouth as he speaks. "I would like to buy three Ironwood summoning paper, a bottle of ink enchanted with Howler's poison, and a quill made from Roc's feather." The vendor was slightly taken aback by how much detail Trace told him, but he finally regained his composure and Tipped his black feathered top hat with a smile. He rummaged through his cart for five minutes before coming back with all of the items Trace had asked.
"Will this be all, young master?" Trace nodded after examining all of the items presented to him. "Then that will be 2 silver Sverd." Trace was quite surprised by how cheap the items was. If he were to shop at the market, all of them would normally cost five silver Sverd, after haggling!
"Is there something wrong, young master?" The vendor mistook Trace's surprised expression as one of dissatisfaction. Trace quickly shook his head and put two silver Sverd on the stall. "No, not at all. I was surprised by how cheap the prices are."
The merchant laughed and his chest slightly puffed out, showing off the expensive white shirt underneath his brown leather coat. "It is because I know where to buy goods for a cheap price, young master." The merchant heart swelled with pride. Trace looked at the merchant and sighed. "I know you are proud of your knowledge as a merchant, but have you heard about the new potion the Alchemist Guild is going to announce soon?"
The merchant's ears twitched as he heard this. He looked at Trace with slight disbelief, but it was all blown away when two men clad in blue sorceress outfit and a woman clad in white stood on top of a pedestal. The woman, who is clad in white clothes, is none other than Jessica Artrost, and on her hand was a scroll.
Jessica opened the scroll in her hand, and loudly spoke, "I hereby recognize the research that is conducted by Trace Redfate, and recognize the potions that is created from the results of his research. The recipe will be announced in two weeks."
The merchant unconsciously swallowed his spit, and looked at Trace. The merchant was faced by a mysterious boy, who knew about the announcement before it was announced. Countless possibilities ran through his head, but the only conclusion he can come to was far too insane. And yet, the boy in front of him smiled, and said. "My name is Trace Redfate, and I would like to propose a deal with you."
Meanwhile, at the Windwalker's residence, Olivia is visiting her sick mother. The thought of seeing her sickly mother always cuts through her heart like a knife, but today, her step is light, and her face is bright.
She's pushing a food trolley with a tray on top of it. On it was her mother's medicine, an elegant teapot, and two cups. She knocked on her mother's bedroom and she can hear her mother's gentle voice rang behind the door. "Come in."
