"It's only been five years since I left and my place is already a goddamn forest?"

I scratched the back of my head as I looked around me. Trees, trees and more trees. My feet crunched against the grass as I started to walk aimlessly around the forest. My bare feet felt a bit itchy on the grass, but it wasn't the greatest discomfort of my life. It also felt a bit cold because I was naked for some unexplained reason.

"Did they unequip all of my armors and weapons?"

I slid my hand down and a familiar menu popped up in front of me. Excited, I quickly pressed the item button.

"Huh... it's all there. Even my old weapons... I thought..."

Remembering what happened made me feel sad for some reason, so I decided to shrug it off.

"Anyway, guess I'll suit up."

I equip my old armors and weapon. A set of leather armor, a trouser with hardened leather kneecaps, a simple leather shoes, and a half-meter long enchanted iron sword.

"This should help me get through this area..."

I backed out of my equip menu and clicked map. What greeted me was not the familiar landscape I used to look at for hours on end, but a black screen with a large error in the middle of it.

"What the hell? Did the game remove the map already?"

I knew this game is going to close its door in two days, but removing the map before the game closes is a bad move on their part.

"Guess I'll get out of the forest first."

If I remember my respawn point correctly, then all I need to do is head south for a little bit before reaching the gate. It should take an hour if I run. I began to make my way to the south, and with each step I took, a feeling of unease started to sprout in my heart. It was easy enough to shrug it off at first, but after three hours of running and not bumping into any sort of ruins at all, I started to feel more and more uneasy.

"What the hell is going on here?"

The guild I created was big, big enough to at least leave a ruin if one day it was destroyed. So far, nothing but trees, plants entered my field of vision.

"Shit..."

I took a deep breath, and sat down loudly, as if I was trying to vent my frustration by doing so. I rested my head on my hand and sighed. I closed my eyes and tried to remember.

"All of my friends are already retired, so the only thing I can rely on... are them."

I let out a frustrated grunt as I scratch the back of my head.

"But I abandoned them all those years ago... no way are they going to come running now."

I threw my head back and lay down on the grass. The calm breeze sets my mind at ease. The rustles of leaves and grasses made my eyelid heavier, and I spread both of my hands to the sides.

"Five years... What the hell are you doing, playing a game old man? You already retired..."

I closed my eyes and began to slow my breathing.

I went here to escape from the concrete jungle I call home... a little paradise, just for me...

I snorted and picked myself up. Sliding down my hand, my fingers went to the log out button.

"I should get back before she starts nagging me."

Just as I was about to push the log out button, a high pitched scream breaks the tranquility of the forest. It was a woman's voice.
