"Hi, I'm Brian May"

Talking of awkward..

Saturday, 8th November 1969
Brian's POV- Myself and Lucy have been going out for nearly five months now and we're both having an amazing time! Every weekend we hang out at either her or my apartment, listening to records or watching the telly or we'll go out to the park or the cinema or something.. Today is a fresh Saturday morning in November  and I thought about writing a song but I had no inspiration, so I picked up the phone and called my girlfriend. Lucy picked up the phone with a cheery "Hello".

"Hi Lu, It's Brian".

"Oh hey love. How's your morning going?"

"Oh great yeah. Listen, do you want to go into town today? Get a coffee or something? "

"Yeah of course. I'd love to! um see you about half eleven?"

"Yeah, I'll pick you up then. Bye!!" I said and put the phone down. I walked over to my room and dumped down on the bed and picked up my guitar. I started to strum and softly sing;

"I can dim the lights, and sing you songs full of sad things. We can do the tango just for two. I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings. Be your Valentino just for you" (A/N: I know Freddie wrote good old fashioned lover boy, but let's just pretend Brian wrote it in this story! xx)

I put my guitar down and went over to my record player and put on 'Please Please me' by the Beatles and kicked back on the sofa.

At 11:20 I walked out of my car wearing a black jacket, a blue turtle neck and a pair of Jeans. I grabbed my scarf and wrap it snugly around my neck. I walked to the car and opened it. I sat in the drivers seat and put the key in and I drove away. I arrived at Lucy's at 11:32 and walked up to her apartment door and knocked. I heard shuffling of feet and Lucy opened the door. Lucy leaned in and gave me a short but sweet kiss on the lips.

"Hey Bri!" she said flashing me a cheeky smile.

"Hey Luce, you look beautiful by the way." I said, returning her an equally cheesy grin.

"Aww, thanks honey" She said. She was wearing a beige floral dress that went just past her knees and a cream jacket over the top. She was wearing a pair of white flat shoes and some woolly tights as well and her hair was sort of pinned up. She just.. wow. I took her hand in mine and walked her down to the car. We got in and I drove toward the center of town. I parked outside the local coffee shop and got out of the car. I opened the door for Lucy and she turned and locked the door. We walked in, hand in hand and sat down. We were in deep conversation when the waitress came up to our table and asked us what we wanted. Lucy looked up and did a double take.

"Oh my gosh, Ella? Is that you?" she said to the waitress.

"Lucy!!! Oh my god, it's been ages!" the waitress exclaimed back. Lucy smiled at me and told me that this was Ella, her best friend from primary school. She introduced me to Ella and vice versa.

"Okay, we need to catch up at some point" Ella said to Lucy..... "So what did you guys want?"

"Espresso please" I say.... "And you Lucy?" Ella asked Lucy.

"Oh, um Cappuccino for me please" She said. Ella nodded and walked back to behind the desk.

Lucy's POV-

I can't believe I just saw Ella. I've literally missed her so much. I'm sitting in my favourite coffee shop with Brian, my AMAZING boyfriend and then my old primary school friend Ella comes to take our order. !! She comes back back with mine and Brian's coffees and sets them down.

"Listen, Ella?Can I get your phone number so that I can arrange a meet up?"

"Oh yeah, Luce. Of course!" she replied. She wrote her number on a bit of paper from her notebook. I thanked her and went back to my coffee. Myself and Brian sat chatting and giggling away for ages. We were again, deep in conversation when I noticed Brian looking behind me obviously trying his hardest not to burst out laughing.

"What's wrong Bri?" I said. I then nearly crapped myself when my sister sneaked up behind me and whispered "Lucyyy" in my ear. Brian obviously completely lost it and burst out laughing.

"EMILY!! " I laughed. I heard Ryan laughing from the door with my Mum. Brian and I stood up to greet my family. I opened my arms to Emily and hugged her. I went then to hug Ryan. Emily and Ryan then went behind me hugging Brian. I turned round and gave Bri a thumbs up. I then turned around and gave my mum a hag and kiss on the cheek.

"So.." she said like a teenage girl.... "You and Brian. How long's it been going??" I rolled my eyes

"Yeah, five months Mum. He's really bloody amazing. I- I think I love him" I admitted. My mum started blabbing on about how I should definitely tell him. Then she asked the worst thing a mother can possibly ask her daughter. ;
"So.. ummm.........have you two.....ya know... done it?" she asked putting emphasis on 'IT'. Talk about awkward.

"Mum!" I hissed going bright red.. "Well? Have you" she asked. ... "No!!" I whisper shouted. She nodded.

Brian POV-

Oh god, Lucy's siblings just scared the living shit out of her! We both then stood up and went to greet them. Her sister hugged her and came over to me and hugged me. I hugged her back. Aw, she's so sweet. It's things like this that make me wish I had siblings. Oh great! Her Mum was there, I could ask her permission to ask Luce if she wanted to move in. Lucy and her Mum walked up and Lucy looked embarrassed about something. I can't help but smile.

I asked Lucy's Mum if I could have a word. I pulled her over to the side and said

"Ms Richardson (Lucy's mother's maiden name as her parents were separated, but not divorced.), I was hoping for your approval to ask Luce to move in with me ?" I said sounding hopeful. She gasped and clapped her hands together.

"Oh Brian, of course you can, she'll be over the moon ! And enough with the 'Ms Richardson, you call me Alice, son." Ms Richardson- er, Alice- exclaimed. I couldn't stop smiling.

3 hours later. Lucy's POV - After I had a catchup with my mum, Brian paid for our coffee, my mum started chatting to Ella and Brian and myself left. He asked me back to his apartment and I obviously said yes. We arrived back at Brian's apartment and he led me to the sofa and started kissing me. Oh wow. Brian gives the most passionate kisses ever! The kiss got deeper and my hands moved to his head. His hands moved half way down my back, pulling me in closer so that I was nearly straddling him. He stopped kissing and looked me in the eyes. Then he did the best thing ever. He asked me to move in with him. I of course said yes and carried on kissing him. Y'all know what happens next 😉😉
