Chapter 2: the dress

Chapter 2

Yue's POV

"Yue!! You need to come down! Today a prince is coming to meet you!"

I wish I could lock myself up here and never have to see the world again. No one loves me, or as I should say really loves me. My wedding to Hahn is set for a month from now despite all my attempts to postpone my worst nightmare. Just thinking about I start to tear up. I start to head toward the door to respond to my nanny's call,

and I scream back at her, "I'm coming! Don't go starting a hurricane!"

You would think that by the time I was 15 I wouldn't have a nanny but that was not the case.

When I get down the almost everlasting spiral staircase I discover my stylists have picked out a beautiful pale blue dress for me to wear for the mysterious prince's arrival. And just like that my stormy mood transformed into a rainbow of happiness.

"A NEW DRESS!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" I squealed with pure joy. If you should know anything about me it is that I LOVE new clothes!

The dress had a pale blue silk inner layer then a layer of delicate white thin lace, and finished off with an shirshu skin. It described me perfectly in a single object.

"Who is this Prince that you made such a wonder dress for?" I ask with bursting curiosity.

All of a sudden the busy chatter of my seamstresses turns into an erie silence.

"Yue, you need to know we all love you very much and that this is for the best." the head seamstress declares.

The light heart that was in my chest not 10 seconds ago has sunken to an incredible weight. I knew who it was I couldn't believe the pinnacle of my nightmares was happening.

My father was sending me to the fire nation, and I would have to comply.
