Chapter 3: the beforehand

Zukos's POV

I still cannot believe that this is really happening. My father, Fire Lord Ozai, is turning the water tribes into fire nation colonies. I cannot believe it why couldn't he of just left the other nations alone.

Father said we were going to the Northern water tribe to talk to their chief about them peacefully surrendering on their part. I didn't want to go but I wouldn't dare argue with the Fire Lord.

The boat I will be riding to the Northern Water Tribe is overwhelmingly large for just me, Uncle Iroh and my personally crew. Fire Lord Ozai most likely just didn't want me on the same boat as him.

I wonder why he wanted me to come. He already scared my confidence and my pride, I don't know what else he can scar.

"Zuko. I have a hunch." his uncle declared, "I think this trip is not going to be as bad as you thought!"

"How so uncle?", Zuko questioned, "my father hates me my mother has been banished, and I have no friends. How can this trip be okay?"

"I think you will find your true love here." Iroh declared.

Zuko simply rolled his eyes at his uncles failed attempt to cheer him up and waited for this boat ride to end.

Yue's POV

Now I am in my new dress and waiting in the throne room for my father to explain the situation to me. Even though I already know what he is going to say.

He walks in slowly and starts talking without any warning. "Yue, I know this must be strange for you not knowing what is going on. I am here to tell you that the crown prince of the fire nation is on his way to our palace this very moment. He his going to marry you and you are moving to the fire nation. "

Even though I knew this was happening I tear up at my father's words. I am not ready to leave my water tribe much less get married to someone I never met. And I bow my head to symbolize I heard him and he starts to exit the room. As soon as I am sure he has left the throne room I run as fast as I can into my room and ball my eyes out. And to make it all worse the prince could be really ugly. I fall asleep with the feeling that maybe it the fire nation is a pretty place.
