THIS STORY IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REWRITTEN. IF YOU GET CONFUSED GO WITH THE FLOW HAHA YOULL PROBS GET IT LATER MAYBE MAYBE NOT. OR YOU CAN JUST WAIT UNTIL FULLY REWRITTEN!

A searing pain shot through my head. Wincing, I sat up. ‘Where am I?’ I thought, looking around. I was in a bed in what looked like a hospital. So I got a small grasp of where I was but then more questions came up. ‘How did I get here? Where is everyone? Why does my head hurt?’. As soon as the last question came into mind, what happened before I ended up here all came back to me. My heart started racing when I remembered I was kidnapped.  They, whoever they are, hit me in the head. They put me in this position. I lie back down again and close my eyes and trying not to move my head too much. I hear a door open and then numerous footsteps walking through. I open my eyes again to see whom my visitors are to come face to face with a nurse and two men. One with short, disheveled golden hair, the other with dark brown, combed hair with a two men have been watching me ever since I moved here, maybe even longer for I know. I scramble back against the wall behind me, trying to get away. I’m about to scream out when I was interrupted. “No, No, shhh.” One of the men says. I point at them with my shaking finger. “Y-you kidnapped me. You hit me in the head!”

“We didn’t kidnap you. We saved you.” The other man said as a matter of fact.

“Saved me from what? Doing exercise?”

“No. From your family.” My eyebrows furrow together and I just stare at them.

“I’m Matt,” The blonde one says.

“And I’m Peter,” The dark haired one says. “Welcome to the Runaway and Abuse Safe House! Or, unfortunately, R.A.S.H for short. Peter and I are just workers who help children get away from abusive families and just generally being abused. We helped you get away from them, but we would like you to have your own decision. Would you like to stay here away from them? Of course, we will let you go to school and live your life but away from them. Or would you like to go back to them and live your life as normal?” It takes me a moment to process everything, but I know what I want. “I want to stay here.” I say nodding. I’ve relaxed a bit now, but I'm still cautious. These people could me axe murderers, like my mum, trying to lure me in. I start to push myself out of bed when someone interrupted my action. "You should probably get some rest, we kind of hit you pretty hard." Matt warns, and admits.

"I'm fine." I say, harsher than I meant. He shrugs and turns away.

"Okay, then." Matt leaves and I'm left with Peter.

"So, you hit me? I thought guys hit on girls, not hit them." I joked. He laughs but then his facial expression grew serious. "We sometimes have to hit the people we rescue in order for them to shut up and be still. Usually we might just drug them so they fall asleep and don't know where they are going, but others are quite feisty. Like you." My face flushes and I turn away to hide it.

"Well I kinda have to be when I'm being kidnapped, or, as you say, 'rescued'." He laughs again.

"Why don't I show you to your room? We got it ready for you a couple days ago."

"Oh, so now you're hitting on me?" I joke. Peter shakes his head with a smile on his face and starts to reach for my hand, but I pull it away. "Okay. Let's go." He walks towards the door at the end of the room and I follow. The hospital room is lined with white beds, all identical. When he opens the door, he holds it open for me and I walk through it. The door leads me to a hallway with wooden planks for a floor and walls freshly painted as a light beige colour. "How many people stay here? And is it just girls, or mixed?" I asked, suddenly curious about the place.
