Every week there's a day that starts with a W and ends with a whY
Wednesday claims that title
Ten children, all under 2 years old, what a day
Sometimes I think all I can do is pray
But today was different as it may
All the children surprised me in the most perfect way
It wasn't another whatever Wednesday that's for sure
If I had a penny for every time that happened I'd be poor
It all started in the morning when I opened the toddler room door
And all the children ran over to me like I was a candy store
Their faces lit up with excitement and brilliant smiles
So much energy they could've run for miles
Dressed in the kindergarten fashion styles
They danced all day and their smiles never left their diles
It was just like another day in the week
No Wednesday craziness so to speak
I will never walk into work again on a Wednesday looking meek
Because children are always full of loving mystique
So every week when there's a day that starts with a W and ends with a whY
I'll drop the 'wh' and stick with the Y
