when her friends in second grade started to talk about boys and thinking that they were pretty, she didn't even see them in that way she wasn't interested in wether miyagi haruto had a girlfriend or not she didn't care if sasaki haru had abs or not
though, she wanted to she wanted so bad to be like the other girls
so she started to make herself interested in what they talked about gasped and laughed along to all of their gossip about the boys agreed when they said that takahashi riku actually was pure boyfriend material

his name was matsumoto jun, a popular boy who was three years older than her, with caramel blonde thick hair he could get every girl in the village if he wanted to, but on the other hand sana could get every boy in the village if she wanted to
one night when they were at jun's house, sana was starting to get impatient all of her friends had already had their first kiss years ago, and they had teased her about the fact that they hadn't done it yet
"jun, will you please close your eyes?" she asked with an exaggerated cute voice and jun did as he was told as soon as she put her lips against his it felt wrong just wrong it wasn't anything like the other girls had described it no fireworks in her stomach, no "seeing everything crystal clear" for sana, it felt like they were rubbing their mouths together
about a week before they were going to start the second semester in high school, jun broke up with her and she didn't even shed a single tear even though they had been together for almost a year

it was for the best anyway, sana thought in an attempt to explain why she actually was happy about the breakup it was for the best, because she was going to study the rest of her high school years in korea anyway

she was excited about the move, even though it meant that she had to live alone with a family she didn't know
a new life was so close to her now that she could touch it if she tried
