It took Changkyun a week to explain to Hyungwon all that happened. Even if Jooheon did call him and mildly explain it, he wanted to hear from his best friend.
Hyungwon closed his eyes and tried to sink deeper into the pillow. "Let's get drunk and fucking kill people."
Changkyun held in a laugh. "You're just pissed that someone is slightly interested in me. He was dealing with the crazy side of me, but he still wants to be friends."
"Fuck you. You know we can't date."
Changkyun sighed. "Will we always be single?"
Its something that frequently occupied his mind. It wasn't easy being a killer. Then again, had Changkyun's life ever been easy?
Hyungwon laughed. "Probably."
Changkyun rolled on his side to face Hyungwon in their shared bed. He studied the brunette's face. His eyes were tightly closed and he was frowning. His lips were chapped and bitten.
Hyungwon was Hyungwon. He would never ever date Changkyun and Changkyun felt the same. They were close friends, nothing more. Sure, days were hard without having boyfriends and maybe the occational blowjob occurred in the bathroom shower, but they were friends and never saw each other as anything more. Besides, Changkyun was fascinated by a boy with dimples deeper than the pit outside of their house. That, and they were both dominate, so things would never work out.
Changkyun and Hyungwon shared a lot of things. They had a house where they occationally stayed to plan murders. There they discarded evidence, prepared to set up cameras in various places, and worked on their set ups as killers, including their outfits and masks. They shared an apartment where they slept on school nights. They shared a bed, furniture, and even at one point a toothbrush (a story Changkyun doesn't want to ever discuss).
"I kinda wanna take up your offer on getting drunk, honestly." Changkyun confessed.
Hyungwon smiled and sat up. "Let's do something even better, okay?"
"Yeah?"
"Let's kill that boy with the dimples."
Changkyun felt his entire body tense. Not that the boy with dimples ever meant anything to him, no, Changkyun wasn't vulnerable. He just wasn't feeling like killing anyone, he kept telling himself.
Jooheon was something else in Changkyun's mind. The thought of him made his stomach flip. Jooheon was the only person besides Hyungwon who didn't die when he spaced out. He was special. He was cute, nice, and way too cuddly for Changkyun's liking.
"I'm not feeling it," Changkyun mumbled.
"Do I need to bring I.M out? He's always up to kill."
Hyungwon named Changkyun's other side I.M, which confused Changkyun to no end. He didn't like the name. He didn't like having another side to him at all.
It wasn't hard to bring I.M out. Usually Changkyun stopped being Changkyun when he was scared or upset. Hyungwon was an expert at both bringing I.M out and bringing Changkyun back.
Changkyun avoided Hyungwon's gaze. "No. Fine, let's go kill him."
-
Changkyun's mouth went dry as he stood in front of Jooheon's house. He never felt this nervous when he went to kill someone. Usually, he easily manipulated his victims. He never had sweaty hands.
He hated that Hyungwon sent him to kill Jooheon alone. Hyungwon insisted that killing him would be the only way to stop his crush, and he had to do it alone.
