When Changkyun was 15, I.M first came into his life. He was a defense mechanism. When Changkyun would get scared, I.M took over. He wasn't violent at first, not by all means. He was quiet, but he stood up for Changkyun. It was like they were two separate people in one body, but Changkyun knew it was just him.

He assumed he was sick within the first year of I.M appearing. He hated himself for it, but he decided to look on the bright side, he had some company.

When Hyungwon was introduced into the foster home, he was seventeen. He was very accepting of Changkyun, and almost preferred I.M for a while. Changkyun's bond with Hyungwon was special, and he enjoyed every minute of their friendship.

Hyungwon insisted Changkyun join him on his task of killing people. Changkyun couldn't say no since I.M was always violent. After the first victim, Changkyun felt whole again.

Changkyun and Hyungwon quickly learned that Changkyun would never kill someone. No, he had a weird desire to bite people sometimes, but he would never kill another human. Killing people seemed to satisfy I.M, so he was glad he didn't have I.M's memory. If I.M was satifised, Changkyun felt himself a bit happier.

When Lee Jooheon told him that he didn't care if he was a bit crazy, he was shocked. He was terrified. He didn't want anyone close to him that he could hurt. Not only that, but he had Hyungwon to think about too. He wasn't an individual anymore, and sometimes that meant giving up on things you really want.

And Changkyun wanted Lee Jooheon. He had never believed in love at first sight before, but the moment he saw Jooheon he was in love. His dreams were filled with domestic scenes and cheesy dates. He was never one for romance, but somehow he believed that maybe that was going to change.

And that's how he ended up here sitting up with Jooheon's body so close to his. Hand in Jooheon's hair with the elder sitting in between his legs. His back was pressed against Changkyun's chest. It was cozy, and way too domestic.

It made him uneasy at how easily Jooheon seemed to fit in his life. The night before he tried to kill him for the second time, yet they were sitting on Jooheon's bed because he had fallen asleep before Changkyun could leave. It was like they were meant for each other. Jooheon was so willing to accept him and offer his friendship (Changkyun so unaware of the blonde calling him baby and loving every minute of it).

With Jooheon pressed up so close against him, Changkyun wanted to forget the world. He wanted to give up killing and forget Hyungwon. He wanted to hold Jooheon forever.

What you want isn't always what you get, he supposed.

"Jooheon." Changkyun stopped petting his hair and lightly shook the other. "Jooheon, we have school. It's Tuesday."

Jooheon barely opened his eyes to look at the clock that read 7:46. He slumped back against the younger and closed his eyes.

"I'm going back to sleep."

"I'm not your pillow," Changkyun groaned.

He was temporarily reminded of Hyungwon, and then he felt his heart sank. He had forgotten to call Hyungwon the night before. It meant that either he thought the younger was dead, or he didn't care.

Changkyun wasn't sure he wanted to know.

It also meant it had been two weeks since the most recent murder, and that was quite a problem in Hyungwon's eyes. He liked to keep a schedule where they killed someone every two weeks, occasionally more.

It meant Hyungwon could've gotten caught killing someone. That terrified Changkyun. He wanted to call him, but his phone was on the side table, and Jooheon had no intentions of moving.

"Jooheon. Move." He ordered in a stern voice.

However, it wasn't enough. Jooheon whined softly. He grabbed Changkyun's hands and made them rest on his stomach.

"Jooheon," he growled as he hit Jooheon in his side hard.

The elder whimpered and stood up from his spot in the bed. He hung his head as he waited for Changkyun to tell him what to do next.

"Jooheon, can you be a good boy and get my phone from the other room?" He asked, letting his dominant side show.

Jooheon quickly retrived Changkyun's phone and handed it to him. Changkyun eyed him, trying to figure out why he was so obedient.

"Jooheon, you don't...love me, do you?"

His face quickly heated him. "No!"

Changkyun tried to ignore the pain in his heart. He patted the empty space next to him. "Come on. Your house is freezing."

The elder's eyes lit up, and he happily climbed underneath the blankets and snuggled into Changkyun's side. Changkyun almost felt bad for making the other male wake up. It was almost like they were made for each other.

Changkyun wrapped an arm around him, tugging him closer, before unlocking his phone. He was quick to dial Hyungwon's number.

"Changkyun," Jooheon whined softly as Changkyun waited for Hyungwon to pick up.

Changkyun watched him pout. He wasn't sure why the elder was so bothered. Until it hit him.

He wants me to only pay attention to him.

"Changkyun," he tried again, this time crawling in his lap and resting his forehead against the younger's chest.

As if on cue, Hyungwon answered. "Changkyun you better have a good reason for not coming home last night."

Changkyun rubbed Jooheon's back, recieving something that resembled a purr. "I couldn't walk home," he explained. He didn't want to go in depth about Jooheon falling asleep on him, preventing him from sleeping. He most certainly didn't want to explain he didn't kill Jooheon in the first place.

"You didn't kill him?" Hyungwon sounded angry on the other end of the line.

"I'll see you at school," Changkyun was quick to hang up and set his phone on the nightstand.

Changkyun stopped rubbing his back and placed his hand over Jooheon's wrapped up arm. "I'm sorry about last night. I told you I'm dangerous. We can't be friends."

Jooheon smiled. "Let's make a deal, yeah?"

"Okay..."

"You're going to put up with me, and I'll keep your secret about being a killer!"

Changkyun hesitated. There was a lot of things that could go wrong. Jooheon could tell the police anyways, or he could stick to his word. He could spread rumors. The list of things that could happen could go on and on.

For once, he decided to put his faith in someone. "Fine."

The last thing he expected was for Jooheon to snuggle closer and say, "Then, let's go back to sleep."

-

Changkyun was unsure of when he fell asleep, but he woke up to falling out of bed. He angrily sat up.

He was going to yell, but Jooheon was in the center of the bed with his eyes tightly closed and had tear-stained cheeks.

He's having a nightmare.

Changkyun laid down on the bed and uncurled Jooheon to pull him close to his chest. "Jooheon. You're okay."

The elder gripped his shirt like he was hanging on for his life. He squirmed, mumbling things to himself.

Changkyun grabbed his arms and forced them around his neck. "Jooheon. Open your eyes."

Small eyes fluttered open, and his face immediately calmed at the sight of Changkyun. Tears still fell from his eyes, but he felt okay.

"Do you normally have nightmares?"

Jooheon nodded, hiding his face against Changkyun's neck.

"Well, then, I guess since we are friends now I'll have to help you."

And Changkyun's words were all he ever needed.
