It's been a while and a lot has happen since then. If I ever see you again, I promise to tell you all of it. You can be my journal like before. Promise not to judge me. Your love should and must be always on my side.

He rubbed his forehead to soothe the throbbing building up in his head. It had been a very stressful week. Business meetings after business meetings, not to talk of Rick's cousin overbearing behaviour. The man was getting on his last damn nerve. With a heavy sigh, he turned to face the glass windows, overlooking the city made of a million tiny lights.

He heard the door open and shut again. He didn't need to turn to know who it was. Her signature scent of citron wafted towards him.

"Why are you still here?" he asked as he turned.

Talia scoffed as she plopped down on the seat opposite him. "I could ask you the same thing."

He grimaced, running his hand through his hair. He really needed a haircut, he thought. "I have work to do."

"Of course" He fell silent and so did she, neither ready to address the huge elephant in the room. It had been three weeks now and he had yet to ask her anything about Robyn. His resilience would be commendable if he didn't overwork himself just so he didn't have to think about her. She could clearly see grief eating away at him. Robyn, on the other hand, called Talia everyday to ask about him and the answer was same old, he was fine but he clearly wasn't.

"Is there something you want?" he inquired, his handsome face set in a frown.

"You're acting really childish, you know that?"

"If you're here to admonish me for no reason, then leave. I'm busy." he deadpanned.

"Suit yourself" She shrugged and got out of the seat, heading for the door. He watched her leave and as soon as the door closed behind her, tossed his pen angrily to the side.

How dare she accuse him of being childish? As if it was his fault things were this way. What was so childish about respecting one's wish and not bitching about it?

Mason grabbed his blazer from the back of his chair and his car keys, strutting out of the office. He opened his car with the remote once he got to the lot. He got in and sped away. He found himself at Juggers as he had for the past two weeks anytime he got out of the office. He went inside, the faint smell of alcohol hitting him immediately. He pushed his way through the crowd of sweaty bodies to the counter. He sat down on one of the empty seats and beckoned the bartender.

"The usual?" Beef, the bartender, asked to which he nodded. Soon, a shot glass filled with rum and scotch was placed in front of him along with a slice of lemon. He downed it in go and bit down on lemon, grimacing at the taste.

"Keep 'em coming." He tugged at his tie until it came undone, laying it on the counter. He grabbed his drink, repeating his motions from before. Thank God for the weekend, he chuckled to himself. He could properly get wasted today. He scanned the club for a brief moment. It was heavily packed since it was Friday night. The smell of sweat, alcohol and lust hang in the air.

He returned to his drink, downing glass after glass. Soon he joined in the fun, cheering, grinding and taking body shots as well as chugging down vodka from a spinning fountain. This was the supposedly best night of his life.

There were two things Mason hated, abusive men and hangovers and currently he was dealing with one, a massive hangover. His head felt like a boulder had been placed on it and his eyes glued shut. The lights weren't helping either, they felt burning lasers on his eyelids. This hangover was a raging bitch.
