I have never just went outside and looked at the destruction of what the virus has really done to the world and society. There is no more civilization, there is nothing but hunger. The world we knew is officially gone and I don't think it will ever return to the way it was. "Hey Julianna are you doing okay?" Mason walked up to me. "If you call this okay, then yeah I guess I'm just peachy." "I'm so sorry that we weren't able to find your family." Mason looked so sad when he said this. I couldn't hold in my tears anymore, I started sobbing onto Mason's shoulder. He didn't ask me any questions he just patted my back and said everything will be okay. After I cleaned myself up, I saw Skyler she was looking at us. She turned around and ran out of the room. I don't know what happened but just then I ran after her. "Skyler what's wrong?" "You get everything, don't you. Your just a snobby bitch!" Skyler yelled across the room. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I've liked Mason before you and we were doing just fine before you came in the picture. Now he wants you and not me." Skyler broke down into tears. Even though I was badly hurt from her words I ran to her side and comforted her. "I'm sorry Skyler." Was the only words that came out my mouth. Mason was looking at Skyler when he came up to her and said "Skyler I've never liked you in that way, when I first met you that day at the police station. I felt like we had a bond of friendship and nothing more. I'm so sorry that I might have gave you the wrong sign." He looked seriously sincere. Skyler got up and walked away. I've never seen her with such hurt in her eyes. I've never hurt my best friend before.
