About 30 miles away from Kansas, I turned on the radio to see if there was something going on through the government but all that was heard was static. " Really when are they going to get with the program and tell us what to do. Ughhh." After about 3 hours I stopped at the gas station trying to get some gas. It must have been luck because there was some gas running out of one of the nozzles so I fueled up. " I should go into the store and see if they have anything I can use." In the store there wasn't a lot of things that I could take. There about one shelf left of supplies and it was mostly car stuff almost all the food was gone. " Wow hahah and I thought I was lucky." Just then I heard some rustling, " What the hell was that?" I started walking towards the noise, drip drip drip, there was something dripping up the distance. "Hello? Anyone there?" No answer. I continued walking in the direction I heard the noise before. Towards the end of the shop, I decided that maybe it was a figure of my imagination, but of course I was wrong someone jumped out of the shadows and held a knife to my throat " What the hell? Who are you?" " Shut up before I slice your throat are you one of those things outside?!"The voice yelled. "No I'm not!" I kicked the stranger in the knee and was able to free their gasps from my neck, I'm running for my life. I hurry and get in the car, locking the door behind me and speed off before the stranger can come out of the store. " Who the hell was that person? And why did they just pull a knife on me?" Looking behind me I saw that the stranger was standing close to the shop staring at the car as I continued on. Closer now to Kansa I stop to take a rest. Do I really think my family is alive? And if they are what are we going to do now? " Maybe I can try the radio again." Changing channels I begin to hear a voice at first it was very statically but it became clearer as I continued changing the dials. " Hello this is Tom Brandy I'm a secret agent and I work for the government if anyone is out there you have to find safety there has been a spread on a virus called T180 it is very contagious, the virus causes people brain steams to shut down completely and lose there humanity. The only way to get these virus is being bitten by one of the sicks, getting scratched by one of the sicks, or coughed on by one of the sicks, be careful you can contact the disease through your skin, eyes and mouth please be careful...." and then it turned to static. A Virus.......that's what's making everyone turn crazy!!! I really have to find my family and fast. Back at the police station " You let her go! What the hell is wrong with you?! She can die.." Skyler yells. " She told me she has to handle some things so who was I to stop her!" Mason yells back. Suddenly they hear some glass break " What was that?" Skyler says frightened. Screams are then heard down the hall way. Mason runs to the direction of the screams one of the human eating things has gotten in and had torn the little girl into pieces. Just then some more screams has been heard, leaving the scene of the little girl Mason walks in the see that one of the human eating things has been eating one of the ladies that was staying with the group it was obvious to late for the women but Mason knew he had to get rid of the human eating thing before he got the rest of the group. Grabbing a pool cue he stabbed the human eating thing several times until he knew it was dead. They couldn't stay at the police station anymore. It was not safe anymore. Mason looked around the rest of the police station but mostly everyone else had left. They had left Mason and Skyler to die. " Where is everyone are they safe?" Skyler asked scared. " They all have left us." Mason said softly. " Oh my well I'm glad there safe but we should get out of here. Maybe we can find Julianne." " Yeah I think that's a good idea."
