Chapter 6

In the next morning, I was the only one awake. I decided it was best to get a feel for the place. It felt comfortable that there were other people going through the same thing I am. " How are you feeling this morning?" Mason walked in unexpectedly. "I'm fine thank you." I replied sweetly. He went into a cupboard and got out a cup and poured some coffee into the cup that I've haven't noticed before. "Want any?" Mason asked. "I'm fine thank you, I actually have to tell you something." I started to speak. " My family is out there somewhere and I have to find them, thank you for taking me in for the night but I really have to go." As I stood up, Mason grabbed my hand " Be careful." I wanted so bad to kiss him but I just met him. He was so hot and romantic but I had a priority to my family. I waked out that day with some more supplies that Mason had given me. It was late in the afternoon when I left and most of the things have left the lot. I snuck into some bushes to see where my family would have gone. I knew my uncle Tommy lived in Kansas and that's pretty close to where we lived now but my grandma Niña lived only a few miles away from our home. So I bet they went to grandma's first. I had to find a car if I walked there I'd get there in days instead of hours. There was a car in my front view, I ran to the car there was no keys in the car so I checked the house. Luckily there was none of those human eating things in the house. As I continued to walk through the house there was about 4 bodies. I could tell about 2 of them were children. How sad... they won't be able to grow up and do all the things they wanted to do.. why is there life so less valuable.... why did these human eating things hurt everything in their path..... what if my family was already... dead. I fell down in tears, my life is over, my family is gone and I don't know if there dead or alive. After about 30 minutes I got my mind together and found the car keys. I got in the car and looked at the direction of the police station. I wished that Mason had came with me, and what about my best friend I didn't even tell her I was leaving and I didn't even say anything more to her. I feel so bad but I have to take care of my family first. I'm truly sorry Skyler. I will miss you, and I headed out
towards grandma's house.
