Chapter 20

God the knocking on the door needs to stop!

I was having the most amazing dream with kittens and ice cream and Eric. I'm still riding on cloud nine since our date even though it's been a couple of weeks now. We haven't been on another date but we've been doing our normal; and I love our normal.

"TAVES!"

Zekie dives onto my bed landing in top of me. The weight of his massive body forces the air from my body so I wake up instantly sitting upright glaring at his stupid face.

"Happy birthday big sister!" He shouts wrapping his arm around my neck messing my hair up.

"And happy birthday to you my little baby bwrother" I say in a baby talk voice grabbing his cheeks and squeezing them, once I'd escaped his head lock.

"Here open you birthday present" he thrusts it into my hands.

I didn't even see it when he first came into the room.

I shred the wrapping paper off the present eager to see what he's got me. Zekie is one of the few people who truest understand me meaning he is one of the best people for giving presents when it comes to me.

Opening the box the first thing I notice is a silver charm bracelet. It holds multiple charms in either silver or a black gemstone or both. There's the yin and yang symbol we've always used to represent us as twins, a custom made charm of a woman doing a roundhouse kick and several other charms.

Under the bracelet I notice some black material. Lifting it up I see that it is in fact a black dress that looks like it will be mid thigh length with black lace covering the top in an illusion neckline.

I throw my arms around Zekie hugging him with all my might. I don't wear dresses but I wish I did just so I could show off how beautiful this one is.

Reaching down the side of my bed I grab my present to him.

"Happy birthday Zekie"

We arrive at school way too early. Somehow our mother had forgotten it was our birthday and then went into a strop over the fact we were both upset that she had. Collectively Zekie and I had decided school was the better option.

As I approach my locker I see a familiar group of guys with their backs to me.

"What the hell are you all doing here so early?!"

They all snap their eyes to me quickly a look of horror covering their faces.

"Shit she was supposed to get here later" one of them hisses

"What do we do?" Another adds

"Simply move things forward" I recognise Eric's voice immediately even though it's muffled.

"Someone going to fill me in?" I raise my eyebrow as I approach them.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" they all shout in unison.

I now notice all the 18th birthday balloons they are holding along with the banners covering my locker.

"A present for my lady" Jason steps forwards wrapping an 18th birthday sash round my body.

"Happy birthday muppet" Eric wraps his arm around my waster and places a kiss on my forehead.

"Come in then fuckwits" Kyle practically drags us into the classroom by my locker.

Inside the room there are even more balloons. Honestly I think they must have bought up the whole store.

On the table as well there is a pile of presents. I can't help the childish part of me escape as I bounce up and down with excitement.

"Lets do presents them muppet" Eric smiles.

I run over to the table and sit on top of it expectantly.

"This ones from me" Jason smiles.

I unwrap the box and can't help but laugh. Inside is a fully equipped first aid kit along with a book on the importance of remembering prescription medication and a guide on propped first aid.

Tears of laughter continue to stream down my face. Eric grabs the box and looks inside. As soon as he registers the content he looks at Jason with a raised eyebrow.

"What she needs it. We all know what she A like" he says shrugging his shoulders.

"MY TURN!" Kyle thrusts a box at me.

I open it, killing my laughter instantly. Instead I'm shocked. Inside the box is some very provocative black lace lingerie.

"You'll thank me later. It's the gift of having a gay best friend" Kyle winks.

"What is it?" Eric moves to look inside the box.

"NOTHING!" I slam the lid closed making sure no one can see it's content.

"Now we got you a group present from all four of us" Eric starts "your present from me will be given later" he smiles.

Greyson hands me a rather large box wrapped in silver wrapping paper. As I take it from him I realise it has some weight to it but not enough to be any of the things I was expecting it to be.

Looking up at the boys I notice they are all looking at me anxiously which makes me nervous in turn. 

I unwrap the present slowly trying to prepare myself for what it may contain.

As I left the kid I can't help the shocked gasp that escapes my lips.

Laying in the box is a custom made prosthetic leg in plain white with black designs covering it. I lift it up from the box inspecting all the patterns more carefully.

On the shin in a smaller copy of Kyle's tattoo of a drawing manikin standing in a boxing stance, further round to the side is a copy of Jason's compass tattoo and on the foot is a copy of Greyson's signature tattoo of a rabbit with a top hat and tux.

What shocks me most though is covering the rest of it is a perfect copy of Eric's atlas tattoo. The leg itself is covered with one of the most important tattoos each of the guys have.

I can't help it as the tears start to fall from my eyes looking up at them.

"Please don't cry" Jason exclaims

"We meant it in the best way honestly!" Kyle joins in.

"It was meant to be special, your like a sister to all of us. Well except Eric" Greyson laments.

"Muppet we thought you'd like it. So now you have something that reminds you of all of us wherever you go" Eric coos

"Like it!" I choke out " guys I love it" I say between sobs.

The look of relief on their faces causes me to giggle which in returns makes them all laugh.

If only my birthday could say this perfect.
