"Too fast?" Reagan chuckled.
Ryland's face was green as he rolled his head to look at Reagan.
"...Nope..." he lied.
Reagan grinned, widely looking at Ryland. She was thrilled to be having fun. It was almost as if Grainger had never left but was replaced with Ryland. As he continued to lay sickly in his seat, he thought about the necklace. That stupid necklace. Maybe it could come in handy after all.
"That stupid necklace?" Reagan whispered, exchanging looks with Ryland.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Ryland quickly covered up.
"You know you aren't the only mind reader, right?" Reagan tormented.
Ryland's face turned red just thinking of what Reagan could know. Would she know about his secret plan? Was she reading his mind this entire time? Hours had past and they were about to land. Ryland had returned to his room in effort to rid himself of his sickness. Reagan stayed comfortable in the cockpit of the ship. She successfully landed the ship in the middle of the woods. Reagan pushed herself from the chair. Her legs and arms stiff from sitting there for so long.
"Ryland. Ryland, buddy, time for action." Reagan called as she hobbled to his room.
She knocked on the door, almost stubbling over. The door creaked as she pushed it open with her fingers. Ryland was awake and sitting on his bed. In his hand, he held the necklace. Startled by Reagan's sudden appearance, he placed the necklace into his pocket.
"Just... give me a second to change." Ryland yelled to Reagan.
"Okay." Reagan replied as she went to grab some supplies.
Quickly, Ryland pulled on some black shorts, lace up black boots, and a black leather jacket. He exited his room and rejoined Reagan at the front of the ship.
"Ready?" she asked, tossing him a back pack.
"Let's do this." Ryland responded, slinging the backpack over his shoulder.
As the door opened, light flooded the ship.
"Where are we?" Ryland asked, noticing the site was unfamiliar.
"We are on a planet called Onli. It is peacful but I suspect it is where Olivia is hiding out." Reagan explained, stepping out into the woods.
"Not for long..." Ryland muttered.
"Let's go this way. I am picking up on a dark presence." Reagan suggested.
Reagan led the way through the rolling hills, covered in giant trees. Ryland blinked profusly, as he recived a vision. He saw a girl, she looked familiar but he didn't know her name. She was standing behind them, holding some kind of paper and crying. Shocked, Ryland stumbled backwards, almost falling down a hill.
"Ryland! Are you okay?" Reagan shouted, helping Ryland to his feet.
Ryland didn't answer but instead he turned around, looking where he had his back turned.
"What are you doing?" Reagan scoffed.
Ryland shussed her and peered through the thick trees.
"Show yourself!" Ryland yelled, readying his hands to attack.
"Is there someone there?" Reagan asked.
Ryland's head was on a swivel until a girl around his height came out of nowhere.
"Who are you and why are you here!?" Ryland ordered, pulling out a blaster and pointing it at the girl.
Reagan too pulled out her blaster but studied the girl. She was wearing a black leather jacket, short black skirt, and knee high black boots. Her hair was a dark brown and her eyes were bright blue. Her skin was pale but she was holding something in her hand.
"Ryland, stop." Reagan demanded.
"What, why?" Ryland shook his head.
"Put the blaster down, now." Reagan instructed.
She dropped her back pack and walked over to the girl. The girl looked at Reagan and then back at Ryland. Ryland was furious with Reagan. He could sense her abilites and they seemed pretty close to his.
"Ryland, listen to your aunt." the girl announced.
Ryland's mouth hung open. How dare she give him orders.
"I'm going to ask you one more time. Who are you?" Ryland boomed.
"Go ahead, pull the triger and see what happens." the girl cooed.
Suddenly, her hand flug to her head and she moaned in pain. At first, Reagan though she had been shot but then she looked over at Ryland, who had dropped the blaster.
"Are you okay?" Reagan asked, putting her hands on the girl's shoulders.
"I am fine, thanks for asking." the girl murmured, getting to her feet.
She faced Ryland and cocked her head.
"My name is Bailey Loretta for your information." the girl yelled.
Reagan instantly felt sick. It wasn't possible. Anton was dead. She had watched Sofia die and killed Azalea. How could there be another Loretta.
"Loretta? Where did you get that name?" Reagan stuttered in shock.
"I never knew my parents but my adoptive parents said my last name was Loretta so I stuck with it." Bailey answered.
"And who exactly where your parents?" Reagan gagged in fear.
"I never knew my parents but my mother died soon after I was born and my father disappeared. He is probally dead as well." Bailey explained.
Reagan's face turned pale white. Her heart sank and she felt like she was going to throw up.
"I know how you feel. My mother died soon after I was born and my father is missing. What was your mother's name or your father's name?" Ryland questioned.
"No one speaks about my mother but I know my father's name started with a G. His initials were GC." Bailey told him.
Reagan covered her mouth in effort to prevent herself from throwing up.
"How do you know that?" Reagan asked, nearly passing out.
Bailey didn't say anything but she pulled a necklace out of her pocket. It was a black circle pendant with streaks of red and silver. She turned it over and pointed to the ingraving, "GC".
"My father had that necklace." Ryland snapped, coming closer to look at the object.
Reagan thew up, she couldn't handle it any longer.
"Grainger Cross." she gasped.
"What?" Bailey and Ryland asked in unicion.
Reagan's words were unclear but Ryland thought he heard his father's name.
"Look here." Ryland directed as he pulled the picture of his mother from out of his pocket. He showed it to Bailey who rasied her eyebrows and pulled a picture from the same pocket as the necklace. Reagan caught site of the picture and collasped to the ground.
