"Reagan? Are you okay? What happened?" Ryland called, making his way to Reagan who was laying on the ground.
"I'm fine." Reagan mumbled, pulling herself to her feet.
"That picture that you have- how did you get a picture of my mother?" Bailey declared.
"That is a picture of my mother." Ryland growled, sensing the anger in Bailey's voice.
Both of them shot angry looks at Reagan. Reagan smiled in fear, covering it up and trying to pull off a bluff.
"Reagan. Is there something you need to say?" Ryland asked with rage clearly in his voice.
"I swear I didn't know anything about this." Reagan answered, truthfully.
She really didn't know what had happened. The medical droids ad told her of twins but it wasn't possible Bailey was Ryland's twin. Ben was Ryland's twin but he was on Earth, far away from here. Was it possible that Sofia had another child before Ryland and Ben?
"Then how do you explain this!" Ryland snapped, showing Reagan the identical pictures of Sofia.
"Look Ryland, I haven't been totally honest with you...." Reagan began.
"Is Ryland your real name or is it a nickname?" Bailey interrupted.
Reagan sighed in relief.
"I have gone by Ryland for my entire life." Ryland told Bailey.
"Oh, see I know I have a brother named Ben and so I thought maybe, you know..." Bailey spoke.
"Well, we can ask my aunt, Reagan." Ryland suggested, staring at Reagan.
Panic washed over Reagan as she was put on the spot. Bailey had even known of Ben.
"What haven't you been honest about?" Ryland questioned, anger.
"The medical droids brought out two babies. They gave them to be and told me to name them. Both were boys so I named them Arsen and Ben..." Reagan started again.
"You didn't....." Ryland cried.
"Yes, I'm sorry Ryland. We decided it would be our best option to split you up. Your father had turned to the dark side and killed your mother so there was no one else to turn to. Your uncle, Luka, and I took Ben to a different galaxy called the Milky Way and left him with a nice family. I held on to you in hope to lure Grainger back to the light side..." Reagan murmured.
"You used me! You lied to me and now you want me to just believe everything you say! Why does Bailey have my mother's picture and my father's necklace?" Ryland gasped between tears.
Bailey moved closer to Ryland, picking up on a connection they had. Sibling or not, she knew they were related some how. She put one hand in her pocket and used the other to hug Ryland.
"It wasn't my choice! Luka and Mackenzie decided your fates, not me. I was only doing what I was instructed to do!" Reagan argued.
"Where is Arsen?" Bailey asked.
"When Grainger returned, he said that Sofia and him agreed on the name Ryland for the child." Reagan explained.
Ryland fell to his knees in tears.
"Everything was a lie! You have been lying to me for sixteen years! " Ryland screamed.
Bailey pulled Ryland from the ground and began walking him back to the ship. Reagan followed behind them, keeping her distance. Once aboard the ship, Ryland went to his and retrieved the box that he had opened. Bailey and Reagan sat in the living room, glaring at each other across the table in front of them. Ryland returned, placing the box in front of Bailey.
"This is a test, open the box." Ryland instructed.Bailey looked confused but picked up the box. She studied it, turning it over and running her fingers over every piece of the shiny box. Finally, she found a slick metal piece. She looked confused at Ryland. He nodded in approval. Bailey moved her finger slowly to the box. As soon as her finger made contact with the scanner, it turned green, unlocking the box.
"Reagan... how do you explain this?" Ryland demanded.
"Like I told you before, there was twin boys, no girls." Reagan answered.
"Call that hospital, now! Ask them for records of any one related to my mother and father." Ryland shouted.
Reagan scurried to make contact with the hospital. She instructed them to send over digital copies of everyone related to Grainger and Sofia.
"Okay, come look!" Reagan yelled.
Ryland and Bailey entered the cockpit and took a seat in front of the monitor.
"This one is Grainger's birth certificate and this one is Sofia's." Reagan explained pointing to the images,
"Grainger Nolan Cross, son of Malice Turner and Ryder Cross. Sibling- Reagan Leia Cross (twin), Luka Camden Cross, and Mackenzie Amelia Cross." Ryland read aloud.
"Spouse- Sofia Loretta. Children- Ben, Ryland, Bailey, and.... that is blacked out. I can't read it!" Bailey exclaimed.
"Neither can I. Apparently I was also lied too. I was told there was only identical twin boys. Apparently, there were at least triplets." Reagan told them.
"This changes everything! Why did the medical droids lie to you and tell you there was only Ben and me?" Ryland asked.
"I don't know but I'm going to find out. I think that you and Bailey should stay here. If the medical droids didn't want me to know Bailey and the mystery child existed, they must have had a pretty good reason." Reagan announced.
"You mentioned your adoptive parents before. Who were they?" Ryland asked Bailey.
"My mother was Olivia Carder and my father's name was Sam Carder." Bailey answered.
"Oh no." Reagan sighed.
"Was that it?" Ryland demanded, feeling an unsettling feeling in his stomach.
"No, they had two daughters." Bailey explained.
Ryland became very worried, knowing how evil Oliva was.
"What were there names?" Reagan asked, taking over for Ryland.
"Arielle and Peyton. Why do I have the sense something has happened with Olivia?" Bailey picked up.
"Because she took our father." Ryland growled.
"If Olivia took Grainger but raised Bailey in the same house, Grainger must have been able to sense that Bailey was his daughter. He knew that we would come looking for him so he sent a sign, the ship. He figured we would know he was alive and come looking, finding Bailey." Reagan pieced together.
"That sounds exactly like what he would do." Ryland agreed.
