[Here is the first chapter as a sneak peek for the rest of the book. This book will be much darker that the previous books and be extended more than the past books.]

Reagan gathered Luka and Mackenzie together.

"Look! There are more coming!" Luka yelled, pointing to the clutter of ships outside.

"Who are these people?" Mackenzie asked, readying herself to fight.

"I'm not certain but whatever they are, they don't seem to like us very much." Luka replied.

Reagan stood beside them with a scowl. A black hood covered her face and hid away her silent tears.

"Reagan? Are you okay?" Luka questioned.

Reagan side glanced up at Luka and showcased a hatred expression.

"I'm fine." Reagan growled.

Mackenzie's face flooded with worry.

"Where is Grainger?" she panicked.

Luka joined Mackenzie in searching franticly for Grainger.

"Malice is gone! He must be trying to revive her." Luka explained.

"Mom is dead. There is nothing he or anyone can do." Reagan chimed in.  She turned to face the others, slowly.

Luka frowned at her statement.

"Where would Grainger go if he wanted to save her?" Mackenzie asked.

"The same place he went to save Sofia." Reagan theorized.

"How do you he'll be there?" Luka asked angrily.

"I can hear his thoughts." Reagan muttered.

"What do you mean?" Mackenzie wondered.

"Never mind." Reagan murmured, trying to subtract herself from the conversation.

"Reagan! How can you hear his thoughts?" Mackenzie begged.

"I.... I can't tell you..." Reagan hesitated.

"Reagan! We are your family. I don't care what you think, you're going to tell us right now or this ship will go down with you in it!" Luka threatened.

"Luka!" Mackenzie scolded.

"It's been happening for as long as I can remember. To put it loosely, there are memories and thoughts that I have that aren't mine. When we were trying to find Grainger the first time, after Sofia died, I could hear what he was thinking. If Grainger felt pain, I felt it too." Reagan confessed.

"Reagan, you're telepathic." Luka announced.

"What? How? I thought that was only a myth." Reagan asked.

"So did I until right now. It was rumored that when a being reaches the highest rank of power, they will bond with another and they will share everything. Every thought, every feeling, every memory." Luka continued.

"So I bonded with Grainger?" Reagan asked.

"I don't know if it's a twin thing or if you are that powerful." Luka told Reagan.

"Does this mean that she can read or minds?" Mackenzie questioned.

"I can't. I can only read Grainger's mind." Reagan expressed.

"Where is he?" Luka demanded.

"His ship.... it's been hit. He has Malice but he isn't going to make it to the temple in time to save Malice. " Reagan exclaimed.

"Coordinates... I need coordinates." Luka yelled as he ran to pilot the ship.

"That's not how this works, Luka. All I can tell you is that he is going to crash land on planet covered with white." Reagan yelled back, running to join Luka. Mackenzie ran with them. Luka rushed to turn on the GPS system. He stared long and hard at it before shouting, "Everyone buckle up."

Reagan, still with her hood on, sat down calmly and gathered her emotions. She fixated on a green stripe that ran vertically across the floor. This reminded her of her mother.

"What are you looking at?" Mackenzie questioned Reagan.

"Mom's favorite color was green. Well I guess not anymore." Reagan whispered.

"What?" Luka sneered.

"I need to go and change." Reagan mentioned, getting up from her seat and jogging to her room onboard the ship. It was currently being occupied by Arsen but Reagan didn't mind. She opened the door softly and marched straight to the closet. She pulled the doors open and searched for the perfect outfit. She pulled out black tights, a purple and black form-fitting shirt, and some lace up black boots. While she changed, Mackenzie and Luka discussed tactics.

"There." Luka said, pointing to a black dot on the screen.

"Is that Grainger?" Mackenzie asked. Luka turned to look at her and narrowed his eyes.

"He is about to crash on a planet called Danto." Luka told Mackenzie.

"Tell me about Danto." Mackenzie ordered.

"Well, it is inhabited by soldiers of the Rebel Accords. "

"You've got to be kidding me." Mackenzie sighed. This was going to a problem. Crash landing on an enemy planet was not exactly the best plan.

Reagan pulled her black hood over her new outfit and returned to the cockpit with Luka and Mackenzie.

"We can't continue to have Arsen with us." Reagan exclaimed.

"What are you talking about? There is no other place to take him. His mother is dead and his father is insane." Luka snapped.

"He is going to get killed if he continues to just ride around with us. We need to give him to someone, fast." Reagan fired back.

"He'll be fine. It's not like we are going to take him into battle or something. Besides, who would we give him to?" Luka mocked.

"I'm certain that we can find someone." Reagan continued.

"What about Grainger? Is he less important that the baby?" Mackenzie chimed in, siding with Luka.

"Mackenzie, don't. I'll snap your neck right here, right now." Reagan threatened.

"Reagan! What's wrong with you? We are on the same team. You can't threaten to snap someone's neck every time you don't get what you want." Mackenzie criticized .

"How is that any different that what you did to Valarina?" Reagan teased, cocking her head.

Mackenzie let out a breath of air at her statement and turned back around to shun Reagan.  Reagan bowed her head, sensing that they were going to abandon her idea. Reagan stormed back to her room with her cape flowing behind her. She stopped and looked in the mirror. Her hair was covered in a dark black color. Her eyes lit up my the sudden darkness. She bit her lip. She could feel the darkness closing in on her but she enjoyed it. She didn't fear the darkness as Grainger had. She continued over to the box were Arsen rested. She peered over the edge and saw that he was asleep. She picked up the box and carried it down the stairs to the loading dock.

"Where are you going?" Mackenzie hollered, not giving any notice to the fact that she had Arsen. Reagan didn't answer but she continued storming down the stairs. She let the rage and hate consumer her. She was hungry for power. She craved revenge for her mother's death.  She yearned for the darkness. Reagan had had enough of the pain. She was ready to give up hope and create her own dreams, her own way. The darkness shifted inside of her. With every step, the grip of the dark side became stronger. With every breath, she felt more powerful. Reagan knew that what she was about to do would finally send her over to the dark side but she wanted it. She knew with the power of the dark side, she could begin her vendetta and rival those that crossed her. She wanted, needed, to crush her enemies no matter who they were. Reagan would kill anyone in her path to get her ideal results.
