"My best friend called Hope"

There's always that one person in your life that can practically make or break your day.

If that person is having a terrible day, so will you. If you see them sad, you automatically feel the same whether or not something bad happened to you. Sometimes, whatever affected them, affected you way more.

That person can also make your day. Sometimes, after a long boring session or an exam that you failed was returned, when you see them at the end of the day, smiling, that just makes you beam. Just to hear those people laugh about a joke that you weren't even there to hear, you can't help but laugh yourself.

It isn't always boyfriends or girlfriends too. Sometimes, it's your sister or your brother. Sometimes, it's your mom or your dad, and sometimes, it's just the people who are the reason you wake up in the morning for another day of work or school just because you know you'll see them there.

My friends make me feel that way. Even after an award, I would be utterly depressed if I heard that something bad happened to them or saw them frowning. Even after one problem after the other, when I see them laughing or smiling, I can't help but forget all of that. I can't help but smile too.

Maybe it means I care a lot. Maybe it means I am easily influenced by my peers. But, all I can say is this. Surround yourself with those people, especially the ones who make you happy just by the look on their faces no matter how terrible and stressed you are or were, because these people are important. They are the people who will give you hope.

And I hope that I am that person to someone someday somewhere.
