Snape couldn't breath. He just needed to get away from the castle, 'how can I break this to her? I can't deal with this! I knew Albus was up to something! She could get hurt.. she doesn't deserve any of this.'

Snape's mind was going from 0 to 100 in seconds, he felt angry. In fact he had no idea who he resented more.

He stormed out of the castle at quite a speed, leaving the grounds and walking, just walking. There was no planned destination.
Anywhere that wasn't Hogwarts suited him just fine.

He walked into Hogsmeade and entered a quiet inn on knock turn alley. He could not face the Leaky Cauldron and he knew that nobody from Hogwarts would dare venture to The Snakes Venom pub.

The barmaid Gertrude Stoke recognised him straight away, "Well if it isn't Severus Snape. Haven't seen you around here in a while which is.. strange considering your loyalty to our lord." She seethed, narrowing her eyes.

"Obviously... I cannot break my cover now can i witch? Get me a fire whiskey and stop the chit chat I have no time for you." He snapped angrily, gaining a sneer from the creepy looking woman.

She slammed the fire whiskey on the bar and scowled at him, "Your at the top of the tree now aren't you? How dare us mere mortals expect you to deflate your ego for one second."

Snape rolled his eyes and knocked back his drink, nothing was going to stop him from getting intoxicated. Especially not a jealous old wench with a face like a slapped arse.

"Give me the bottle." He demanded, he had little time left for politeness. He shuddered as
the bottle slammed down before him, too distracted by his thoughts.

He snatched it greedily from the bar and dragged himself to a table in the corner, watching the world begin to spin around him as the hours passed and bottle after bottle was consumed.

He grunted as he was rudely interrupted in his mission to block it all out, he looked up to see a witch had plonked herself down across the table from where he was sat. She was speaking but he could barely make it out...

"Hello handsome." She giggled, twiddling her long wavy hair with her fingers. She was as pissed as a newt. He ignored her and returned his gaze to his drink.

"Not very chatty are ya? Drinking alone... witch problems I'd bet." She tried, looking him up and down with a look of pity and attraction.

He glared at her, his onyx eyes staring into her pale grey orbs. "Is it that obvious? What is it with you witches? You all think the world turns around you." He scoffed, giving her a look of disgust.

He had to admit it, maybe it was just the alcohol talking but she looked like quite a shaggable witch....
Although In the state he was in, a bin would look like a shaggable witch.

"Why should you drink your life away over a witch? why try and get over one when you could get under one..." she smirked.

He found out that her name was Emma. She seemed like a bit of a cling on, but he was past caring. His heart ached, his anger at the world was extreme.. 'She's offering it to me on a bloody plate.'

He woke up in a strange bed wearing only his trousers which were half way down his thighs, he felt nausea when he clocked the tacky red sheets and sighed, 'what have I done?' He groaned as he looked at the hideous witch who slept beside him. Deciding to leave before she woke he snuck out of the bed and dressed.

"Going somewhere? Back to your love I presume." A trill voice spoke from behind him as he reached for the door handle. He hung his head in shame and looked over his shoulder.

"This shouldn't have happened... I used a morning after spell on you so you have no reason to contact me." he sighed, leaving her sprawled out alone and rejected.

As he staggered back into the castle looking worse for wear his gaze met Liliana's. She looked at him with sad eyes, she really missed him.

Luckily for Snape she was oblivious to his night of getting drunk and bedding a witch.
However, If his reason for doing so ever came to light.. her world would shatter to pieces and that was something he really couldn't bare to think about.
