Chapter 3- the party

 Maura's pov

we arived at the party at 7 pm. looking at the place of Vince, its a Three story house with a lake on the side. entering the house, i saw some of our school mates that I know, we grab some food and drinks and went to the kitchen, the kitchen is the only place that is not crowded.

"Thanks god you're all here. i thought your not coming anymore" vince said walking towards us looking at Khaye.

"nahh..we dont want to miss your party. why did you plan on having this party by the way?

"were just bored. and besides the closing is approaching so fast, so i decided to have a party"

"okay."

"see you later girls, have fun" vince said grabbing a drink while walking out of the kitchen.

"lets go to the dance floor girls" Jane said, Arthelene and Khaye stood immediately

"I'll come later, enjoy" i said to them waving.

i went outside and sat near the lake..A guy talked behind me making me jump.

"hai"     "you scared me.why are you behind me?"

"sorry, i went to the kitchen to  grab something then I saw you.." Kian said walking beside me.

"why don't you just go back there, "

"later, but why are you here alone? your not enjoying the party?"

"the party is good, but i just need some space"

"okay, " he left me alone without asking questions. well he's not bad as what I think. i walk out of the house and went to the lake. the air is cold that I need to hug myself maybe it's better if I didn't come here. flashbacks of me and carter is playing in my mind again.

FLASHBACK

 Carter my EX-boyfriend is having a party at his place, he invited me to go, at first I didn't want to go but he never stops pleading for me to go. during the party, he introduced me to his friends, the party is so enjoyable at first, but when he got drunk, he said that he needed me. I helped him walked to his room, I'm about to leave him when he grab my hand.

"please stay"

" no, youre drunk, and I need to go home, it's already midnight, my parents will get worried."

"no, you stay because I tell you to stay" he snapped at me. I stared at him, tears falling in my cheeks

"why are you acting so strange? you're not like this before." i said to him trying to get rid of his hold

"Its because I need you, i need you here" he loosen his grip at my hand. i take it as an oppurtunity to run but he grab me again now his grip is even tigther.

"please let me go" I shouted at him trying to stop my tears to fall. the next thing I know, he let go of my hand and slapped me and I'm in the floor. my surrounding is moving, i'm so dizzy that i cant stand. I heard some of his friends came at the room, one of them helping me stand.

there are shoutings and he punch one of his friends, his friend that is helping me put me in his car giving me water.

"are you okay now?"  "yeah, thanks for helping me," i answered still crying, I cant believe he slapped me, his friend brought me home, I'm thankful my parents and my brother is already sleeping.

 I didn't notice that I'm already crying when someone clear his throat, its Kian

" Why are you crying? youre supposed to enjoy the party and have fun" he asked me with concern sitting beside me.

"its nothing, dont mind me" he just stared at me. i can say that he wanted to know why but decided to stop his self from asking

"okay, let's go inside, its freezing here"

" no, i'm not in the mood now. i will just go home. can you give me a lift? I don't want to interrupt my friends, they are enjoying the party" I looked at him and he smiled at me

" lets go but put this first, youre going to freeze" he said giving me his leather jacket walking away from me. i smiled and put his jacket and walking behind him.
