Chapter 6 bonding

 Muara's Pov

I skipped school today. I took a long shower then changed into a short and a loose t-shirt. I made some breakfast and tell my parents that I'm not feeling well, while making some breakfast I called Jane. she answered her phone at the second ring.

"hey Jane, I will not come at school today" while talking to her I went back to my room grabbing milk and my breakfast. "oh, but why? is anything alright?'

"yeah everything is fine, dont worry about me"

" do you want us to come over there after class?"

"no.no.no. I'm fine jane. I'll just copy you're notes tomorrow, bye."

I watched some of my disney movies while eating.  I finished watching 3 movies when I heard my brother entering the house talking to someone. I curiously went down to see him, then I saw something familiar, a blond haired boy smiling in my direction.

" hai Maura" Kian said to me smiling, there is a look of curiosity in his eyes

"hai guys, what are you doing here? I asked them looking at them one by one

' we're here to hang-out sister, want to join us or you're still not feeling well?" Drake asked me softly while walking towards the sofa opening the t.v, kian, chase and vince following him. I followed them sitting to the empty chair and making myself comfortable. Looking at Kian I noticed that nobody asked me question regarding what happened the last night. We made eye to eye contact, his eyes full of concern, I smiled at him excusing myself walking straight to go to the pool. I sat there looking at the pool, thinking what he said to my friends. he approached me sitting next to me

“are you alright now? Your brother said you’re not feeling well”

“I’m okay now. Thanks”

“for what?” “about last night, thanks for giving me a lift. I forgot to give your jacket back, I’ll give it back when It’s washed.”

“keep it” I looked at him surprised “keep it, as a remembrance that we’re friends now, I’m sorry for what happened the past days, I didn’t mean it”

“forget ‘bout it” I said standing “let’s go back there, maybe they are looking for us” we walked side by side back inside. We saw them playing games, “ you can go and join them, i’ll just get some snacks for us”

I went to the kitchen to grab some chips and drinks, while putting the chips in a bowl, i realised that he isn’t that bad. He is caring, i can see it his eyes when he’s looking at me, and by the way he is acting when he’s with me. Smiling at my thoughts I went to them putting down the chips and asked if one of them can help me get the drinks, vince stand to help me but Kian grab his and hand and tell that he will help me. I smiled at him and walked back to where I came to grab some of the drinks.

“Maura?”

“yeah?”

“I’m just wondering if you.uh..if,. if...” he said babbling nervously,blushing then I cut him from talking

“hey. You look like tomato” I said at him laughing, he just stared at me for a while then he started talking

“i’m sorry, will you come with me some other time?” he asked me while looking at his shoes

“are you asking me to have a date with you?” I asked him a little bit fast than usual,

“It’s okay if you don’t want I understand”

I looked at him for a moment, to know if his just kidding me. But his face is serious. We stared for a while then I smiled at him “okay, but not this week,” his face lighten and he smiled widely,

“ ah my god Maura, thank you, I thought you will refuse” he said hugging me, I didn’t saw that coming then he let go of me “so, lets go, I’m starving”

We went back to the living room, we ate snack, have a little chat with them, Vince started to throw chips at Chase while standing and running around the room, then Chase also throw food at him, we’re all laughing at the two of them throwing food at each other,

“you asshole, come here, I will kill you” Chase shouted at him, chasing him.

“if you can get me” Vince shouted back at him still throwing chips

They throw chips at each other a little longer, we are all laughing hysterically, my tummy is aching because of laughing. We all stayed silent for a while to rest. After we finished cleaning the mess, they went home and said their goodbyes. I go to my room and called arthelene.

“WHY ARE YOU ONLY CALLING ME NOW??I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO CALL OR TEXT ME, MYGOD YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. I THOUGHT SOMETHING WRONG HAPPENED TO YOU” she yelled at me

“hey, let me speak, well, my brother came home this afternoon with kian, vhince and chase, then my brother asked me if i want to join them hang-out so I joined them, and we have a good bonding. And I’m only calling you now, because I left my phone here at my room. I’m sorry I haven’t called you earlier.”

“So are you coming at school tomorrow?”

“yeah I will. see you there”

I ended the call, take a shower, changing into pyjamas. I went to bed, playing back what happened today. my eyes slowly closed.
