I get up from my bed, do the usual things thinking what will happen today. while eating breakfast I asked my brother if I can have a ride to school with him. He said yes. the ride to the school is silent, but not awkward. when we reached the school, I went to my locker, the students around me looking at me and whispering. I saw my friends and asked them waht happened yesterday and why the other students are staring at me.
"uh.there is a rumor about you with Kian in the party" arthelene answered me,
"I already told you guys, Kian just gave her a lift" khaye said looking at jane and arthelene. I grab my books from my locker and looked at them.
"whatever. I'm not affected, besides nothing happened between us" I turned my back, looked at the other students whispering.
" Do you believe everything you hear?" I asked them a little louder so I can get their attention, they vowed and walked away from us towards their classes. One of the students the captain of the cheerleading dance group Ashly walked towards us not breaking a look with me. Ashly has a blue eyes, long blond hair which is braided. She is tall and has a slim body
looking at me and my friends she yelled at me "bitch, stay away from Kian"
"dont you dare call her a bitch ashly" arthelene said pushing her.
i hold my friends hand looked at her then to ashly " how dare you call me a bitch. you don't have the right to tell me what should I do. and don't call me a bitch because I'm not like you, I should be the one calling you bitch. Why do you want me to stay away from Kian? He's not your boyfriend anymore right " I told her a sarcastism in my voice,smiling at her reaction I walked back to my locker, but before I reach my locker, she talked again
"I'm not afraid of you bitch, I'm better than you. Kian still love me and he will not fall for you, your just popular," I turned back at her smiling.
" no need to remind me that, I already know that I'm popular. And don't dare to question my popularity, I became Popular because of doing right things for our school. Not like you, you just became popular when Kian became your boyfriend, I wonder what he saw at you."
She's about to slap me when a her hand stopped at the air, I saw Kian holding her hand, Ashly looked shocked. Before ashly can talk Kian yelled at her.
" What the hell is your problem now?"
"I just told her to stay away from you, "she answered and crossed her arms
"what the,.. you dont have the right to tell her that."
"What??"
" She's right, what did I saw at you? how did I even fall for you. but you know that we are over, so you must be the one to stay away from me" He said looking at me, then at ashly angrily. She slapped him and stomped away from us.
"that was...unbelievable, I didn't know you will say that to her" Khaye said walking towards us. I ignored her and looked at Kian at the eyes, I saw madness at his eyes making me shiver, but I managed to talk to him.
"You know, you don't have to do it, I can handle her"
'no. It's okay, I'm tired of her attitude, it's better that I did it,. let's go to our class we're going to late now." he said to us gesturing for us to follow him. we followed him. and went to our class.
our first two subjects went fast. in our last clas, our teacher Mr. Evans told us the we need partners for our activity today, arthelene and Jane is groupmates, Khaye and Vince together. Chase is not present so Kian dont have a partner yet, we looked at each other, I'm about to ask him but he stand and look around. maybe he doesnt want to be my partner so I looked for another student but all of them have partners.
Kian's Pov
I looked at her, she is also looking at me, we're the only one who doesn't have partners. I stand from my chair and looked around for the second time. I went to her direction but she didn't notice me approaching.
"Maura, can you be my partner for this activity? Chase is not here and Vince is with khaye"
She looked around then said that I can seat beside her. We finished the activity before the time is over. she stared at me.
"uhh?? why are you staring? Is there anything in my face that made you smile?
"hahaha..no. I'm just thinking about the date."
"ah yes the date, what about it? " I looked at her curiously then she answered
"maybe we can do it on saturday, if you're not busy"
"yeah that's great, so saturday at 9 a.m?
"yeah, I'll wait for you at my place"
the bell rings and we get all our stuff went outside to wait for vince and her friends. "lets go guys, I'm hungry," vince said walking beside khaye. we all went to the cafeteria, garb food and went to our table.
"I noticed something" Jane said we all looked at her and she continued talking "where is Chase ?. and this is the first time the the Popular girls seat in the same table with the badboys" she said smiling widely at us.
"You're a keen observer jane. Chase is with his parents, he said they need to see his grandmother, well she's dying" Vince said.
"someone misses Chase" I joked and they all laughed except jane.
"no I'm not. I don't like him" she said glaring at us
"and who says that you like him?" arthelene said poking her. "what the hell jane..you like Chase, ?." she said surprised. our jaw dropped at what she said then we all start laughing.
"that's not bad jane, besides maybe he like you to, and you've been single for so long now" Maura said to her but her attention still in her food. she's so cute when she's eating.
you like her. a voice in my head said i replied the voice. oh shut up. she's beautiful and smart, but no.
"says the girl who is been single for 1 year" arthelene said at her, or maybe to all of us, i dont know.
"oh shut up Lene, I don't want to talk about it" she said looking between arthelene and me, her cheeks turning into pink, then back at her food.
"lets go hang out at my place after our class, i"ll call Chase later, I can give him and the girls a lift, " Vince said to us looking at Jane. I looked vince and jane then at maura and saw her also looking at them . " but we are four girls then chase" maura said,
"I can give you a lift, besides we are friends now' we made eye contact and just smiled. we all agreed then eat our lunch again.
