"man, that was a great movie." tom said as him and emerson walked out of the movie theater. they had just watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, and tom couldn't stop talking about it.

"i know!" emerson said. "baby groot is so cute."

"as cute as me?" tom smirked.

"don't flatter yourself, smol spidey." emerson said. "can we go eat? i'm hungry."

"you just ate a whole bucket of popcorn." tom said. "by yourself!"

"are you judging me?" emerson asked. "i thought we were closer than that, tommy."

"i'm just messing with you, kid." tom said, throwing his arm around her shoulders. 

"you're aware that i'm 5 months younger than you, right?" emerson said.

"not in my eyes." tom said. "where do you want to go?" he said as they got into tom's car.

"we're really going to eat?" emerson said with excitement.

"of course! i can't let my favorite girl go hungry." tom said. emerson smiled at him and put on her seatbelt.

"surprise me." she said.
