Nicole's POV:

The time I hated yet loved the most. It was time to leave which meant having to deal with Cynthia.....

I took out my skateboard and backpack and tried my best to get out of the school unseen, but to no avail.

I got punched in the eye. It stung but it didn't bother me much, I was used to this. I probably had a black eye right now, but it didn't cause me pain.

"Well well well, look at what we have here. The daughter of Cole Brookstone. Leaving so soon?" Cynthia mocked.

"Just leave me! I'm sick of you harassing me!" I hissed.

"So what? I just came here to tell you to stay away from that new kid. He's mine."

"That won't be a problem. I hate him either way." I scowled.

"Good. You know what will happen if you do......I'll tell everyone about your little secret." She always threatens this....

"Okay." Was all I said.

"Don't pretend you're not scared. I know you are." She smirked.

"I'm as strong as stone. Why would I be scared?" I felt my emotions come up in tears. I forced it to not.

"You look like you're about to cry...." Cynthia mentioned, making it even worse on me.

"So what? I don't care! What even makes you think that Lloyd Jr. wants to be with you?" I asked still struggling with my tears. I gripped tightly onto my skateboard.

"I can offer so much more than you." Was all she said.

"I can tell he only cares about people who care and have good personality, something you clearly don't have."

"But at least I'm not silent. I don't have the most least valuable power. Even if he does make a new ninja team, he's probably going to make you do unimportant work. You're just a freak who doesn't belong here. Someone that doesn't exist. You're not fit to be a ninja." She pushed me to the floor, hard. I banged my wrist against a locker, it felt like I broke my wrist.

"What do you know about being a ninja? All ninja work is important! You know nothing!" I said, making the tears pour. I got up and ran. I didn't care where I ran, I just did.

But because I was looking down, I crashed into someone.

"We really got to stop bumping into each other like this." Oh no.....

Juniper's POV:

School ended and I was outside waiting for Celena and Chryssa. I held onto the spine of the book that Nicole dropped.

Every stitch on it seemed to be done by hand. But it was made really well.

I was about to go home because I got a text saying they had something important going on at their house, when someone crashed into my stomach. I looked down and saw a very familiar orange beanie. I smirked.

"We really got to stop bumping into each other like this." I said hoping for a response. None came. I then noticed that she was crying. Which seemed strange to me.

"Nicole, w-what's wrong......?" I was afraid of the answer. But none came.

"Seriously? What did I just tell you?!" A girl came towards us and took Nicole by her scarf. She was one of those blonde, rich cliché highschool girls. Which I absolutely hate.

"Cynthia just leave me alone! Can't you see you've done enough already?!" Nicole pushed away from her.

"Of course you would go straight to him after I told you not to. You freak!" The girl, who's name was Cynthia said.

"Hey, Nicole may be a lot of things, but she's not a freak." I stepped in between them.

"Juniper, let me handle this!" Nicole hissed under her breath.

"And let you get even more hurt? No way!" I whispered back.

"Oh Junie, I just don't understand why you would hang out with such a girl. You could be hanging out with someone like, well, me!" She tried to sound so innocent.

"I'll pass, there are some better people that I'd like to hang out with." I calmly said and turned around with Nicole in one of my arms.

I turned her face towards me and lifted her bangs that went over eyes. She had a black eye on her right eye.

"She hurt you didn't she....?" All she did was look away from me.

"I think I can help with that."

"I don't need your help! It doesn't even hurt me anymore!" She pushed me away, recoiling her hand and wincing in pain.

"What happened?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"She might have sprained my wrist as well......." She mumbled and looked down at her left wrist.

I took my bandana off and then ripped it in two. I wrapped one piece onto her wrist, making sure I didn't hurt her even more.

"You're seriously doing this? And with your bandana? Don't you usually wear it since you're pretty much a ninja?" Said Nicole with a monotone voice.

"I can manage without it. Here have this for your eye." I took an ice pack from my lunch bag and wrapped it around the other piece of the bandana.

"You know I'm hating this moment right?" Nicole glared at me and placed the ice pack to her eye.

"Yup I can tell."
