Waves are relentless, So am I

I am the god of endlessness & I am the essence of your life

I am the water, I am Poseidon

This is a siren of the sea

A gods heart is as soft as a humans yet we don’t bleed

My love is eternal, My pain is eternal

I watch in silence & I roar in agony

You slip away so quietly

A sailor’s heart is a steady heart

A heart that can love through longing

Of flesh and its follies and its insane love, I know

We were young once and I was eternal

We sat on the shore and I made you look at the ships

It was gods hand and you were in the sailors arms

Of the sacrifices and its sweet follies

It rains when gods weep

I sang you the freedom song

and made love where there was none

I have loved you and mine is a god’s love

My love is limitless

I was an angel to a boy but Men become such vile things

You care for them, nuture them and they turn on you

Only I am allowed to do that, I am Poseidon

I am the god of this sea

I am the sea

My vengeance is insatiable

I don’t drown a person

I drown him in himself

In currents of sadness and metaphors and indifference

In those days when his life is simply a series of memories

In moments where resents me

In moments where he prays to me for solace

This is a defeat

A scar, deep in the sailors heart I have etched

I know that knife and I know that hand

A gods heart is as soft as a humans yet we don’t bleed
