39. seeing him in concert

A/N: I SAW SHAWN LAST SATURDAY (the 8th) AND OMG I LITERALLY
WAS CRYING TNE ENTIRE TIME HIS VOCALS ARE AMAZING I CANT EVEN. This was my first time seeing him live and just wOW. For those who are seeing him soon, have fun <33 don't die like I almost did.

Today was finally the day I get to see Shawn LIVE. It has always been a dream of mine since I first started getting into his music.

I am snapped out of my thoughts when my phone starts vibrating.
"Hello?" I answer, not bothering to read the caller ID.
"Y/N!" I hear my best friend squeal, "are you excited to see shawn today?!"

I laugh lightly, gripping the phone tightly, "Of course I am! It has only been my dream since like forever."

I can feel her roll her eyes, but she laughs, "I'll pick you up in an hour, so we can head down and try to find him."

I agree, and hang up, putting my phone down onto my wooden desk.
I squeal in excitement, changing into the outfit I had picked the night before.
I also curled my hair, and did light makeup.

After what felt like a long time, I heard my mom call from downstairs telling me that Y/BF/N had pulled into our driveway.
"Coming!" I call, grabbing my purse and tickets, and running down the stairs.

I quickly put on my nikes and rush out, hearing my mom's faint 'be careful' as I locked the door behind me.

An hour later, we pulled up to the venue to see a huge line up of screaming fans. We both got out of the car, but decided to just walk around downtown instead.

"I'm starting to get anxious, I'm just that excited," I bite my lip, clutching my phone tightly as we scanned the streets in hopes of finding him.

"Hey I'll be right back, need to use the washroom." Y/BF/N says, walking towards a cafe, "I'll call you when I'm finished."

I nod, beginning to walk farther down the streets.
I look to my right and notice a huge crowd of girls walking the opposite direction. I was so focused on them I didn't even notice the person walking in front of me until I collided into them.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" I apologize, looking up to see Shawn.
"Holy! Shawn, hey. I'm going to see you in concert later," I smile, seeing his mouth curl up as well.
"That's amazing to hear! I really hope you enjoy it!" He laughs lightly, flashing his pearly whites.

I grin, "is it okay if I get a picture with you?"
Shawn smiles widely and nods, "of course!" We both stand beside each other and smile, snapping several selfie pics.

"Before you go, I should probably get a video for my best friend before she ultimately kills me," I laugh, "sorry for the bother."
Shawn shakes his head, "it's no bother at all, and plus, I think you're really pretty. What's your name?"

I blush, "Y/N."

Shawn smiles and records the video for Y/BF/N, but before he leaves, he leans down and kisses my cheek.

"I STILL CANT BELIEVE YOU MET SHAWN WHAT THE HECK Y/N!" Y/BF/N screams, "literally the one time I leave for the bathroom."

I laugh and shrug; the lights suddenly shutting off.

Everyone stands and screams, Shawn making his way to the stage.

"Hello (your city name)!" He shouts, smiling widely as he begins singing.

The concert had ended and I was now walking out of the venue. As I walked through the large glass doors, one of the security guards stops me.
"Mr. Mendes has requested for your presence backstage, please follow me."

I internally squeal, looking towards my best friend, who's in complete shock.

Together we walk towards the back area where large tour buses were parked. We enter through a hidden door way, and there stands Shawn with a satisfied looking grin plastered on his face.

"So, Y/N.. we meet again." He laughs, and I do the same.
"So, I brought you here because I think you're gorgeous and well... I'd like to take you out."

My jaw drops and I turn to Y/BF/N, who looks back at you and grins.
"She'd love to!" She claps her hands, causing Shawn to laugh, and I to turn beet red.
"Then it's settled, I'll text you the details later," he smiles and hands me a piece of paper.

"Sounds good! Thanks Shawn," I squeak, watching him walk away with his guards as Y/BF/N and I fangirl.

Best day ever.
