9. sweet stench (pt. 2)

Your POV.

The pain was unbearable. I could feel the blood rush up and down my body, but I could not say a thing; my mouth was glued shut. I tried to open my eyes as well, but all the strength in me had been drained. I couldn't stand the fact that I was suffering in this state, I just wanted to open my eyes, or have them remain shut for eternity.

I could hear the monitors beep, confirming that I was in a hospital room. The smell of sanitary chemicals fill my nostrils, but I can't make a sound. I hear muffled cries next to me, and I feel what appears to be a hand intertwined with my own.

It was Shawn.

I almost feel sorry for him, I didn't mean to put him in a state like this; it's all my fault. I try my hardest to do something, anything.
I finally overcome the pain, and I can feel my hand twitch. Shawn cranes his neck towards me, gasping. He calls the nurse, rather eagerly might I add. I inhale, and open my eyes, quickly shutting it again due to the bright white light.

"Y/N! You have no idea how happy I am to see you!!" Shawn cries, throwing his large built over mine. I hesitate at first, but I relax and place my arm around his body.
I flutter my eyes close, and listen to the patter of his heart against mine.

"I'm sorry, Shawn" I whisper, hanging my head low in shame for putting both Shawn and I in pain.
"Y/N, don't be sorry," he starts, "it's all my fault you're in this condition. I never should've cheated, I wasn't in the right state of mind and I know that's not a valid excuse, but please baby girl.. I'm so so sorry."
I lift my head and it's clear that his speech made me cry. Shawn is my world and it would've been a disaster without him, so I did it. I kissed him.

"Will you please be my girlfriend, again?" I nod and smile, "of course, my muffin."

We both laugh.
