The Infinity Stones

The Trap

Violet and Chris were in the training room, about to start a session.

"Activate obstacle course, level unknown encounters," Violet yelled.

"Activate hostiles, level deadly," Chris called with a mischievous grin on his face, followed by another from Violet.

Lasers shot out of the walls, trap doors were set, enemies walked the course as more and more traps came. They both nodded to each other and ran towards the first trap.

The lasers were firing and Violet was throwing her daggers at them while Chris drew their fire. When all of the lasers were taken down, they ran towards a large gap in the floor. Chris formed his sword and jumped making it half way and stabbed his sword into the wall sticking there. Then, Violet ran and jumped grabbing Chris's wrist and using her momentum swung both of them out of the pit.

As soon as they landed, a robot the size of an elephant charged at them. Violet and Chris ran towards it, and dived under its legs. Then they both at the same time jumped up and kicked the robot in the back sending it into the pit. They high-fived and saw the end of the obstacle course straight ahead of them. They walked and then suddenly the lights turned off. Cameras came out of the wall and they immediately went under the cameras line of vision. They snuck to the end of the course and pressed a button meaning they have succeeded. The lights turned on and they went to the kitchen for a snack.

"How come we're the only ones who train in the morning?" Chris asked, who was grabbing an apple.

"I don't know man, I can't even stand waking up late anymore," Violet chuckled. "Hey, have you noticed that Kaylee is acting a little weird?" She asked eating some grapes.

"So it's not just me! I swear she gets paranoid when we ask her questions, and she's always sneaking around when she doesn't think I'm watching."

"I know! You think she has a secret she's not telling us? Maybe she has a little crushy-crush on someone..." Violet playfully raised her eyebrows.

"Maybe, I wonder who?" Chris wondered.

Violet deadpanned, "Are you serious?"

Chris finished his apple, "Hm? What?"

"I said, let's go find out," Violet whispered.

"Okay just leave a note saying something like we went out on a morning run for some groceries," Chris said making a pen and paper appear.

"Gotcha."

Chris and Violet snuck to Kaylee's door and jumped into the rafters. When Kaylee left her room they jumped down and entered it.

"She left her diary open," Violet exclaimed looking at her desk.

Chris's eyes went wide, "That's not a diary, that's a checklist!
Gain their trust- Check
Trick them into trap- today!
Make Chris and Violet join me- today!
Flirt and make Chris my boyfriend- as long as it takes.
Kill the rest- 1 week," Chris read off.

Chris grimaced, "I guess we know who she has a crush on."

They just stood there in shock until they heard Kaylee coming down the hallway.

"Violet! Do something," Chris whispered.

Violet froze time except around her and Chris and they ran out of the room seeing Kaylee frozen a couple steps from the door. They ran out the door. Joe and Jack were about to walk in to the kitchen. She unfroze time and acted like they just ran a bunch.

"Hey guys," Violet's gasped.

"Good morning, how was the training?" Joe asked from the stove.

Chris sat down. "It was exciting and very interesting."
