Cade's nickname didn't make any sense to me. "Why Ol' Red?"

Ratchet said, "Haven't you heard the song?"

Nothing came to mind. "I don't know."

"Blake Shelton's 'Ol' Red'. It's about a blood hound at a prison that makes it impossible for anyone to escape."

Thumb sang in his bass voice, "Red'll have you treed before the mornin' comes."

I grinned at the thought of Cade chasing me up a tree. "It sounds vaguely familiar. I'll have to find it."

Cade leaned closer to me. "I have it. I'll play it for you tonight."

I turned my face into the crook of his neck and whispered. "And dance to it?"

His cheek touched my temple. "Absolutely."

Peace and happiness flowed through my body, causing tears to prick my eyes. I had only been feeling this love between Cade and I for less than twenty-four hours, but it felt much longer. Being surrounded by happy, laughing friends brought an even greater feeling of safety. I wasn't sure if my tears were from happiness or from the lack of these feelings before Cade. I refused to think about B.C., blinked the tears away, and continued eating.

The squad polished off the platters, and a few stood to clear the table. Cade went with them, saying he would bring back a knife, forks, and plates for the cake. The feeling of safety didn't disappear when he left. I liked Cade's friends and felt comfortable with them already.

As soon as Cade was out of hearing range, Clink asked me, "Is Cade anything like you pictured your mate would be?"

"No, he's far more wonderful than I ever let myself hope for."

Several "Aww"s sounded. "What did you hope for?"

"Just that he wouldn't be in Fury, because I wanted to leave."

"That's it?" Clink was surprised.

"I didn't really think about it very much beyond that. I hoped that he would be nice, kind, not evil like Fisher."

"Nothing about what he would look like?"

"No, but Cade is by far the most attractive man I've ever seen."

Everyone grinned at me. Fender teased, "More attractive than Zac Efron?"

"Yes."

Clink asked, "More attractive than Kit Harington?"

"Yes."

The group kept throwing names out: Brad Pitt, Mark Wahlberg, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Phillipe, Channing Tatum, Orlando Bloom, Chris Hemsworth, Alexander Skarsgard, Robert Pattinson, Chris Pine. It went on and on, making me laugh. I said yes to all, even the names I didn't recognize, because I knew there wasn't any man alive more attractive than Cade, at least to me.

Cade returned with the others as this was going on. He grinned at me. "What are you saying yes to with all these men?"

Before I could answer, Clink said, "These are all the men on her 'It's not cheating' list."

Cade frowned. "What's that?"

"A list of famous people that if you got the chance and had sex with them, it wouldn't be cheating on your mate." Clink managed to say that with a straight face, so I tried very hard not to laugh.
