I made it to the song's end before I hooked my finger into that small stretch of waistband he had showing and pulled him closer. "And are you itching to have a little fun?"
"Oh yeah." He fell on me, his body on mine, his lips on mine. We kissed with no worry about who might be watching or thoughts of stopping, trusting each other to stick to the rules given.
Our hands were all over each other. Nothing was forbidden if the cloth stayed between us. I felt the heat in Cade's skin through the fabric, matching the flame inside me. Hot wet kisses. Smooth hard muscles. Cade. Cade's fingers sinking into my softer flesh.
I opened my legs, and Cade filled the void. I crossed my ankles behind his back, and he carried me to the top of the bed. There, the rubbing began. The friction brought the shock of intense sensation I now expected. I held tight to Cade. He pushed himself against me, and my hips lifted to get more pressure. Pleasure flooded every inch of my body.
Cade pulled his mouth from mine, gasped in air, and looked into my eyes. His body continued to move. We stared at each other as the pleasure built impossibly higher. We were as close as physically possible, but I needed to get closer.
A hook dropped down from Cade's eyes. It glistened a magical blue, thick like a crane hook used to move cargo, sparks of light zipping around the line that disappeared into the chocolate-brown of Cade's eyes. I saw myself lounging on it like that kid fishing off the fingernail moon, but I was writhing around like a cat high on catnip. I wanted to grab it, but the thought of doing so came with an ominous feeling. I closed my eyes and turned my head.
Cade froze. "Are you all right?"
My lungs fought for air. "You were reaching inside me. I think we might have bonded if I didn't look away."
His lips fell to my neck, his breath strong on my skin. "I felt it too. I didn't even think about stopping. I'm sorry."
My arms tightened around him. "It's okay."
"I'm glad you had the presence of mind to look away."
I hated that it was necessary.
We breathed for several minutes. I thought only of keeping Cade close to me, but he had other thoughts. "I think you were able to stop because your fear is so engrained in you. But I know that we're going to kill him—"
"Shush." I didn't want Fisher in here with us. Only Cade. I rubbed my cheek against his. "I think we can keep going if we don't look at each other."
Cade pulled his head back to look at me. "Are you sure?"
I felt safe turning to him for the moment. "Yes. I want to."
He drew his torso away from mine.
"Uh-uuuh." My back lifted from the mattress. I refused to let go of him.
He gave me a teasing grin. "Only if you show me your fangs, Jess."
I laughed. "You want to see my fangs?"
"Uh huh."
I ran my tongue over my top front teeth.
"Tease." He pressed forward.
A jolt of pleasure shot through my system. I released my control and my beast.
Cade stared at me in awe. "Jess-i-ca." He shifted and fell on me again.
Kissing became dangerous. We didn't care. The rubbing continued. I surfed a tidal wave, body tense, trying to stay on top, to reach something ahead.
