CHAPTER 14

Lory's POV

Today is my birthday,but even a single text or call from Cody I didn't got one,I don't want to call him first because I want him to realize what day is today,this is very important occasion of my life and I don't want my soon to be husband forget that...that's why after an hour of waiting I surrender and went outside my room with a gloomy character which Mom instantly noticed.

"Sweety,what's wrong?bakit parang ang lungkot-lungkot mo at ngayon?"nag-alalang sabi ni Mommy sakin"Today is your birthday you should be happy and excited."Mom said trying to lighten my mood.

"Mom,I'm fine,it's just.."I paused and tried to stop my tears from falling and acted okay.

"It's just what?"Mom asked questionably.

Until The moment I can't resist it anymore"Eh kasi naman si Cody hindi na nagpaparamdam sakin at nag-alala na ako sakaniya ng sobra, ilang araw na ang nakalipas ni hindi man lang niya masagot-sagot agad yung mga tawag ko sakaniya tapos ngayon naman kahit isang tawag o text manlang galing sakaniya wala!."niinis kong sabi.

"Really?is that so?I'm sorry sweety."then she hugged me for comfort while she gently rubbed my back.

"And I don't know what to do,I want to be mad at him but I can't,because maybe,just maybe and Hopefully he is only busy doing all of the work that his grandparents given to him!I wanted to believe that or rather wished that it's just because of his work that's why he has less time to even call or text me,but I can't!"Hindi ko na din napigilan ang mga luha ko na hindi tumulo kaya mashinigpitan ko na lang yung yakap ko kay Mommy para hindi niya ako makitang nasasaktan.

"I wished I could help you darling,but I don't want to interact with your relationship and with your problem as a couple because I might make things worst but as your mother I wanted you to know when I was at your age,me and your father had really the same exact issue with yours,he is too focused on his work and when we're together on a date he will just suddenly asked me if he could go because for an important meeting or something,yes,I get jealous because he is giving more time on his job rather to his girlfriend,but I didn't let go of him,I didn't surrender because I don't want to finish our relationship because that is how much I love your father,I know it's confusing and torturous at first but when you get used to it you will realize that.."he pause and faced me while her both hands gently squeezing my arms"That's why he is doing that because he wanted to have better future with you."sabay hinawakn niya yung chin ko at pinaharap sakaniya."So if I were you,be positive and it will help you to lessen your worries."then she smiled at me genuinely.

"Really?thank you so much mom and also for sharing some of your stories it helps me "I said happily.

"Forever will be here for you Sweety,I love you and I hope you'll enjoy your day,Happy Birthday."sabay pinisil niya yung pisngi ko at pagkatapos nun ay nagtawan na kaming dalawa nung biglang may kumatok sa pintuan kaya napalingon kaming dalawa sa kinaroroonan ng tunog.

"Who's that?"I asked curiously.

While the door is slowly opening and the light from the outside also sluggishly entering inside the mansion,a guy that is covered with shadow because of the intense light from behind slowly walking towards us,my heart suddenly beat faster and shivers suddenly blistering through my spine that makes my knee stiffen by surprise and when realization hits me straight to my head that is the moment where my brain cells started functioning that's why I excitedly run towards the guy approaching at us and happily hopped into him while kissing his entire face.

"OH MY GOSH!OH MY GOSH!!I MISSED YOU SO SO SO MUCH!"at dahil hindi ko na napigilan ang tears of joy ko ay kusa na ngang tumulo ang luha ko habang ako ay parang tarsier na nakasabit sakaniya na ayaw ng humiwalay.

"I'm sorry I made you fell worry."he said in a sad tone but still theres a hint of laughter on his voice.

Pagkatapos niya yung sabihin ay agad akong kumalas sa pagkayakap ko sakaniya at hinampas ng malakas ang matigas niyang braso."WALANG HIYA KA!HINDI KA MAN LANG NAGSABI NA BABALIK KA!ALAM MO BA NA NAGKAKABALIW BALIW NA AKO SA KAKAISIP KUNG ANO NA ANG NANGYAYARI SAYO DUN!PARANG KONTING-KONTI NA LANG DADALHIN NA KO SA METAL HOSPITAL DAHIL SAYO!"naasar kong sabi sakaniya habang yung g*go ay tawa lang ng tawa with matching hawak pa sa tiyan niya at hampas sa tuhod niya.

"Weh?!"he said jokingly at me while raising his eyebrows.

Kaya tinignan ko lang siya ng masama ang folded my both arms over my chest while I am pouting my lips.

"Hindi,seryoso."sabay bigla siyang umayos at tumingin deretso sa mata ko habang hawak-hawak niya yung dalawa kong kamay."Miss na miss na talaga kita,na miss ko ng titigan ang napakagandang mukha ng mapapangasawa ko."sabi niya sakin with papogi expression at kindat.

"Tseh!ang corny mo!"sabay nagtawanan kaming dalawa.

Nung biglang lumapit si Mommy sakin sabay sabi."I told you."she said smiling before she winked at me.

"Anong sinabi niya sayo?"nagtatakang tanong ni Cody sakin.

"It's none of your business it is only for mother and daughter conversation."I said to him like a young girl trying to brag something to her friend before I turn around and started walking away from him when all of the sudden I felt him hugging me and felt his bulge behind me kaya agad kong sinabi sakaniya ito."Cody what are you doing?maaga pa just for you to be reminded."pagbibiro kong sabi sakaniya.

He chuckled first before he replied to my last statement"I know amore"he whispered to my ears seductively feeling the warmth of the air from his mouth and also the good smell of it"I just wanted say,Happy birthday."

Pagkatapos niya yung sabihin ay tinulak ko na siya palayo sakin sabay hinarap ko siya"Do you really have to say that like that?"I said teasingly.

"Oh yes."he said still using the tone that he just used when he whispered to my ears.

"Sya!tumiggil ka na at ayusin mo na yang mga gamit mo dun sa taas aayusan pa ako ng stylist ko!"sabi ko sakaniya na nagmamadali habang nauuna na ako sa paglalakad papunta sa beauty room ko.

"What?sama ako!"he said then he followed me.

That's why I instantly stopped on my track and slowly turned to face him while I am grinning at him evilly.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"he asked suspiciously while looking dared.

"Because you are not allowed to see my gown."I said plainly.

"And why?"he said in confusion.

"Because it is a surprise sweety."then I winked at him and bit my lips seductively before I continued walking towards my beauty room with giving any glance at him all I could here is his groan in annoyance while I smiled in victorious.

"Just wait till your suit babe."I murmured to myself while the wicked and victorious smile is still plastered on my lips.
