CHAPTER 23

Lory's POV

When I got home after my very embarrassing moment with August.

I went inside the mansion still worried and bothered about the scenarios that happened earlier, I'm still unconscious about my environment and the people around me,I feel like my mind has stopped functioning and walking through this marbled floor like a zombie.

When suddenly out of nowhere,someone unexpectedly appear in front of me once I entered the house which makes me startled by surprise and move step backward.

"Looorry!"Sofia and Ally shouted joyfully before they extended their hands up high and wrapped me with it tightly.

"Missed you much!"Ally told me while still hugging me."it feels like I have never seen you since forever."

"Aww,I missed you too."I told her with a side expression.

"Guys!let's just cut the drama and enjoy the night!like duuhh!we've been trying to contact you since this afternoon and you've never answered our calls and text even just once."Sofia said rolling her eyes at me while her smile is still plastered on her face.

"Really?!"I asked shockingly before I got my phone of my purse and checked the messages and missed calls.

"Well,well,do you mind sharing with us the reason why you are busy the whole day?"Ally asked crossing her arms over her chest while looking at me suspiciously.

"What keeps you busy huh?!"then Sofia followed.

I was about to answer their question when suddenly something catches my full attention that makes me stiffened on where I am standing right now.

"Lory!?hey!?we're waiting!"Ally said sounding annoyed.

I cannot believe on what I am seeing right now,I thought that she were just lying to make me feel jealous,but after seeing the photo right now on the screen of my phone makes me wanna throw it away in anger.

Casey just send me a photo of Cody and her mistress Karina walking on the streets while their both hand clasped together,yes,it still hurt me so damn bad seeing him with other woman I despise,it makes me wanna cry again because of the agony that I am feeling right now,I can't believe that he moved on that easily after all we've been through?he just throw it away like those were mistaken memories and it breaks my heart.

"Lory?is there anything wrong?"Sofia said with concerned tone before she rested her hand on top of my shoulder for comfort.

"No,I'm fine,don't worry,I'll just get some drinks then I'll all of your question."Sabi ko sakanila with cracking voice bago ako tumango at nagmamadaling naglakad papunta sa kusina.

"Are you sure!?"Ally asked.

"Yah!"tipid kong sabi sakanila at nagpatuloy na sa paglalakad.

I was about to enter the kitchen to get some drinks when I accidentally caught Hattie taking photos of his brother James while preparing the food.

Pinagmasdan ko ng maigi ang galaw ni Hattie habang ako ay nagtago sa likod ng pader,napansin ko na habang nakatalikod sakaniya si James at busing-busy sa pagluluto ay panay kagat labi naman siya that makes me frown in confusion,don't tell she has some secret desire on his step-brother,well I don't think that is right,just looking at her face right now makes me wonder kung ano pa ang mga tinatago niya that makes eager to find out.

Kaya dahil sa curiosity ko,I tiptoed towards her room and went inside,I know na pwede akong mapahawak sa ginagawa ko,pero kung tama nga naman tong iniisip ko kaya dapat mawakasan  na ito dahil hindi ito mabuti para sakaniya at sa pamilya namin lalong-lalo na tinurong siya nila Dad at Mom bilang isang tunay na anak.

That's why from the moment I stepped inside her room,I automatically search around the place and hoping to find a decent proof to prove my suspicion.

"Please,sana may makita akong patunay dito para matapos na niya ang pangloloko na ginagawa niya sa pamilya ko!"sabi ko sa sarili ko habang patuloy ko lang hinahaloghog yung mga drawer niya,cabinet,sa ilalim ng kama niya at sa iba pang parte sa loob ng kwarto niya."nasaan na!"naiinis kong sabi.

Pero nung akala ko na wala na talaga akong mahahanap ay lalabas na sana ako sa kwarto niya nung bigla akong napatingin sa pintuan ng bathroom niya. Kaya nagmadali akong maglakad papunta sa bathroom at hinahalughog din ang paligid nung biglang pagbukas ko nang Drawer niya na konektado sa malaki niyang salamin ay may nakita akong mga litrato ni James ni na nakashirt less,nagwo-work out sa gym,naliligo sa swimming pool and even while sleeping inside his room.

That's why in My surprise,nabitawan ko ang mga litrato sa pagkahawak ko at napaatras sabay napatakip sa bibig ko."Om my gosh!"I said while breathing heavily for the fact that my evil lil step-sis has a secret desire on my brother.

After knowing all of this information I feel like carrying such a heavy truth that I cannot almost phantom inside my mind,my heart is now literally beating so fast that I almost think that it would jump out off my rib cage.

What I just discover right now is a mind blowing kaya nung narealize ko na masyado na akong matagal dito sa loob ng kwarto niya ay agad kong pinulot yung mga litrato at tinago sa loob ng damit ko bago ako tuloyang lumabas.

When suddenly I heard Hattie's voice through the hallway kaya sa sobrang kaba ko ay agad akong nagtako sa likod ng malaki at makapal namin kurtina na ceiling to floor andg laki but not to long enough to cover my entire feet,that's why I'm really praying to God that she will not notice me from behind the curtains.

Dahil sa sobrang kaba ko ay nakapikit lang ako ng madiin habang nagdadasal.

And when I heard the sound of door closing from her room I gently moved the curtains to peek if she's still there and when I'm sure that the track is clear that's when the moment I came out behind the curtains and started walking like there's nothing.

Nung biglang..."Hello Lory."and when I heard the familiar voice of a lady behind me,it literally froze my entire body in horror. I didn't turn my head to look at her I just secured the photo that I'm hiding underneath my shirt.

Not until this moment I realized that I'm almost out of breath because of this nerve cracking situation right now,In just one wrong move it could ruined everything,specifically Hattie's reputation in the Moon Family,in just one snap of my fingers she might end up being kicked out of this mansion and being homeless,kaya habang nakatayo ako dito sa lugar kung saan parang pinako ang mga paa ko,I gripped tightly on the photos that I'm holding hoping that it will not slip out of my hand.

But I got out of my horrifying thoughts when she started talking again.

"Hello?am I talking to someone?"she said sarcastically towards me.

When I noticed that she's now standing beside me,I breath still and acted like didn't know anything.

"I don't have time to talk to you Hattie,so if you excuse."without fully looking at her face I begun walking away and murmured to myself anxiously.

"This means war."
